waldo Posted December 27, 2011 Report Posted December 27, 2011 Is it bad that I never felt confident of a victory in that first period until McNabb scored the 4th goal? too bad your insecurity cannot be programed into the heart and mind of every Sabre. Narcoleptic? Pretty sure they make a pill for that... modafinil Have a friend who is an airline pilot who takes it.
Bullwinkle Posted December 27, 2011 Report Posted December 27, 2011 Some observations: Boyes > Stafford McNabb will be a top 4 dman - and quicker than you would think...imagine a Myers/McNabb combination - we haven't had that since Schoenfeld/Korab. With McNabb's play, how can they send him down? Which means a big overload at D. Which means trade - I'm looking at MAGS and/or Weber. Kassian is still a bubble player to me at this point - and that's not a bad thing. Great hustle and backchecking. However IMO he wouldn't be hurt by going back to Rochester. Next season he'll be ready. Difference between an average team and a very good one: Average team gets a 4-0 lead and wins 4-2. Very good team gets a 4-0 lead and wins 8-0. OV will pull out of the slump...his shooting has increased, which can only mean he'll get more points. Still, this will be his worst season on record. Hunter doesn't seem to be able to motivate this squad, Green or no Green. I think his time may be limited.

What a wuss.....back in the 70's you'd just do a few lines of blow off of a stewardess' rack....

Given the average age of female flight attendants these days , you would have to be on all fours to get that feat accomplished and half blind to even want to attempt it. I think McNabb is already better than Myers, defensively. I have him on my protect list with Vanek, Kassian,Roy and Pom
Andrew Amerk Posted December 28, 2011 Report Posted December 28, 2011 Pegula: I saw that! DR killed a guy! Did you throw a trident? DR: Yeah, there were horses, and a man on fire, and I killedOvechkin with a trident! Pegula: Darcy, I've been meaning to talk to you about that. You should find yourself a safehouse or a relative close by. Lay low for a while, because you're probably wanted for murder. DR: “People seem to like me because I’m polite and I’m rarely late”

MattPie Posted December 29, 2011 Report Posted December 29, 2011 The implications toward our team was obvious. Whether or not the coaching change works (as yet to be seen), Washington had to do something and they did. You can't fault them for that. Pittsburgh changed coaches mid-season when they were out of the playoffs, too. How'd that work out for them? There have been 166 coaching changes since Lindy Ruff started. As there have not been 166 Stanley Cup Champions in that time frame, your logic may be a little suspect. :) :)
