Andrew Amerk Posted December 26, 2011 Report Posted December 26, 2011 I am so glad the Sabres brought this back. Anyone else going AND wearing a tux? I don't want to be one of the only ones there looking dapper!
Taro T Posted December 26, 2011 Report Posted December 26, 2011 Me and wife going, but neither of us wearing a tux.

Eleven Posted December 26, 2011 Report Posted December 26, 2011 My date doesn't want to dress up, so I don't think I'm wearing my tux. I'm still working on her, though.

I don't want to be one of the only ones there looking dapper! Only reason Sabres brought it back is that they are having trouble selling the 800 to 1000 tickets they have left for every game. Earlier this year in happier times, Ted Black said they would consider it in the future. Who knew the future would come so soon?
Eleven Posted December 26, 2011 Report Posted December 26, 2011 You could compromise and go with the classic tuxedo t shirt. It says you want to be formal, but you like to party. That actually was my second thought, but it wouldn't be appropriate for the party we're going to after the game.

Earlier this year in happier times, Ted Black said they would consider it in the future. Who knew the future would come so soon? Is it a problem, and is the scheduling of the NYE game a solution? Or is it just coincidence? IMO, I'd prefer not to go to a hockey game on the eve of the New Year. Too many idiots. But in my "ticket draft" with my partner, well, I ended up with it. It probably was better than some Friday game (I hate those) against Columbus or something.
87168 Posted December 28, 2011 Report Posted December 28, 2011 I will be going along with my girlfriend, but she will be wearing her Gerbe jersey and I will be wearing my Kaleta or maybe Enroth jersey.
apuszczalowski Posted December 28, 2011 Report Posted December 28, 2011 I think it would be awesome to see the arena filled with people wearing tuxs watching the game and ringing in the new year. What else are you going to do with the Tux part of the promotion?

What else are you going to do with the Tux part of the promotion? Get liquored up and then head to 1st Night?
Scotty Posted December 29, 2011 Report Posted December 29, 2011 Got the 30 dollar tux from tuxedo junction. Show them your ticket and the tux rental bill is $30 bucks. The wife is wearing something nice then after the game were heading to Chipewa or somewhere to party downtown, I also got a room downtown since we are from Rochester so I am hoping for a win (which I have not seen in the 2 previous games I have been to this year) and an awesome time downtown with some friends.
apuszczalowski Posted December 29, 2011 Report Posted December 29, 2011 Get liquored up and then head to 1st Night? You are going to go to the game wearing something else, then change into the Tux to go out after the game?
sweeper Posted December 29, 2011 Report Posted December 29, 2011 I'm doing the tux thing. My gf and I are then going to the Statler for their NYE party. Mmmmm Chophouse Buffet!
Taro T Posted December 30, 2011 Report Posted December 30, 2011 You are going to go to the game wearing something else, then change into the Tux to go out after the game?
Scotty Posted December 30, 2011 Report Posted December 30, 2011 Got my tux last night and the girl from tuxedo junction said they ran out of blue and gold vests in the warehouse behind the Ralph and that has never happened before. So there should be a few of us in monkey suits!
TheChimp Posted December 31, 2011 Report Posted December 31, 2011 Remember those tuxedo tee shirts? I sure hope the folks at First Niagara did, because they'd sell GOBS of them before the game tomorrow.
Wyldnwoody44 Posted December 31, 2011 Report Posted December 31, 2011 Its not true class without the ruffles ;) wear em proudly!
Ghost of Dwight Drane Posted December 31, 2011 Report Posted December 31, 2011 Have fun out there and be careful on the roads......the state needs money.
