Derrico Posted December 22, 2011 Report Posted December 22, 2011 Lindy has me scratching my head as well. At the very least, get Roy off of Vanek's line and put Adam up there instead. Chz made a good point the other night when she suggested Lindy wanted two scoring lines, and I agree but if that's the best we can do, I think we're in a world of hurt. My grasp of the obvious remains firm. GO SABRES!!! If they plan on having a second scoring line I would rather they shift Adam and Kassian to the second line to play with Stafford. Maybe seeing the effort these two young guys bring, along with talent, will get Stafford going. (I don't even need him to be on fire, just stop sucking)
Bullwinkle Posted December 22, 2011 Report Posted December 22, 2011 I think that Kaleta makes a difference with this team. I'm glad he's back - he can light a fire under these guys when necessary...and it IS necessary!

You don't have to be good, just don't suck as much. Quite true, unfortunately. I'd like to believe Stafford would see the effort and respond. But I'm more afraid the pups will see the effort that an Asst A is putting forth and assume that's how a pro does it instead. I don't want Prince Nonchalant anywhere near them. GO SABRES!!!
Ghost of Dwight Drane Posted December 22, 2011 Report Posted December 22, 2011 I know. Uncharted territory for me too. I've got a sawbuck that says it isn't so.

I thought he actually figured it out last year but it turns out it was just a guy playing well in a contract year. His career has been pretty disappointing thus far.
qwksndmonster Posted December 22, 2011 Report Posted December 22, 2011 We need a 3rd team. I am not anywhere near ready to jump on the Team Kool-Aid bandwagon. Team Apathy? I still think that it's possible for Stafford to get out of this funk, and tonight is as good a night as any. Working late again tonight so I'll be watching it on the DVR later. Those lines don't look very good and it boggles my mind that Roy is with Vanek.
waldo Posted December 22, 2011 Report Posted December 22, 2011 It's tough to make 3 NHL lines out of 3 NHL players, 5 AHLers, and 1 Stafford, especially where 2 of the 3 NHLers are Kaleta and Gaustad. But that does look a little weird anyway. :D
LaLaLaFontaine Posted December 22, 2011 Report Posted December 22, 2011 Oh man i loved the lines before start of the season. But now without Leino Boyes, Hecht, Ennis and Gerbe our lines are embarassing. This combined with a weak defense and goalies in slumps is a guarantee to get spanked and destroyed. The only hope is that Toronto is in a slump too.
LGR4GM Posted December 22, 2011 Report Posted December 22, 2011 In the month of December the Sabres are 3-6 and have been outscored 37-22 or 2.46gaa to the sabres 1.46 goals scored average They have not won a game by more than a 1 goal margin in almost a month (Washington Nov 26) and they are without top defensemen Tyler Myers as well as Brad Boyes, Ville Leino, Tyler Ennis and Nathan Gerbe. My prediction is that it will not be a merry Christmas

Eleven Posted December 22, 2011 Report Posted December 22, 2011 How about "Team Rational Apathy". :) I still don't get how "apathetic" and "spending a lot of time on internet message boards" are congruent in any way.
thesportsbuff Posted December 22, 2011 Report Posted December 22, 2011 Toronto is banged up too; no excuses. Plus, they have Connolly. That's an automatic loss, right? Since he's so bad?
dEnnis the Menace Posted December 22, 2011 Report Posted December 22, 2011 I still don't get how "apathetic" and "spending a lot of time on internet message boards" are congruent in any way. Team "no one knows the definition of apathy?"
inkman Posted December 22, 2011 Report Posted December 22, 2011 I know. Uncharted territory for me too. Nothin some tequila can't fix. Plus, they have Connolly. That's an automatic loss, right? Since he's so bad? I'll bite on your Connolly man crush bait. It should mean a loss but because they have other players who play more and are more important to their team, they could win in spite of him.
That Aud Smell Posted December 22, 2011 Report Posted December 22, 2011 Strange lines indeed. most peculiar, mama. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gBCdlBrgEmE
Marine0369 Posted December 22, 2011 Report Posted December 22, 2011 I know. Uncharted territory for me too. Both the lines and your quote leve so much to the imagination. I cant tell whose pic is better, yours or the timmy c that I have. :flirt:

But that does look a little weird anyway. Yeah, I think 5-on-5 goals are going to be hard to come by with this lineup... our best chance may be if the Leafs take a bunch of dumb penalties like they did last time around. As we saw last game, their PK is atrocious.
spndnchz Posted December 22, 2011 Author Report Posted December 22, 2011 For Leafs, no Gardiner, Rosehill, Orr, Komisarek, Brown, Lombardi, Armstrong, Dupuis.
Guest Sloth Posted December 22, 2011 Report Posted December 22, 2011 Don't care who's playing for the Sabres tonight and how the lines are set up. I just want a win to be happy about as Christmas approaches.
sabres1970 Posted December 22, 2011 Report Posted December 22, 2011 For god's sake, please give us a win tonight so we're relatively sane this christmas and we won't be total jerks to our other family members because our minds are else where.
Ghost of Dwight Drane Posted December 22, 2011 Report Posted December 22, 2011 Rayzor going with the 1990 hairdew
