K-9 Posted December 23, 2011 Report Posted December 23, 2011 Really?????? Hope you didn't lose too much tonight. It's bad enough you lost bragging rights. GO SABRES!!!
SwampD Posted December 23, 2011 Report Posted December 23, 2011 Some random notes on the game- -You can take your exciting loss and shove it up yer a$$,..this is a recording. -I liked it better when we weren't hitting anyone but winning. -MAG is better than Weber. It's just my opinion,.. but I'm right. -Adam showed some glimpses of some real talent tonight. -If Ruff was only here for 5 years instead of 14, would he have been fired already? -Watching Kassian play in the defensive zone, I see a player who hasn't been tainted by Ruff's system, yet. He actually plays farther out and is in position to intercept the Dman and get the puck out. He doesn't just spin around in circles chasing his own tail like everyone else. I just wonder how long it will last. -Our powerplay, yet again, is so predictable that it makes me want to gouge my eyes out.
Iron Crotch Posted December 23, 2011 Report Posted December 23, 2011 Good lord, Kessel had 10 shots on goal?! (As usual Timmy had only 1 and had no hits) BTW - Roy led the Sabres with 6 shots on goal.
deluca67 Posted December 23, 2011 Report Posted December 23, 2011 Miller let's in a soft game winning goal and WGR post game show is blaming Regehr's trip?
stenbaro Posted December 23, 2011 Report Posted December 23, 2011 I could be wrong, but I think we had Leo with Weber and Reggie with Regehr this game, no? The last 2 minutes they were out there..But your right for the rest of the game..I have a tendency to pick certain times to make a point my wife says..Im good at it..lol
novascotiaguy Posted December 23, 2011 Report Posted December 23, 2011 Paul just said on wgr that he has never seen Pommer this mad, said he was shaking and had a hard job to even speak.
SDS Posted December 23, 2011 Report Posted December 23, 2011 Paul just said on wgr that he has never seen Pommer this mad, said he was shaking and had a hard job to even speak. I think he's pissed because you won't change your avatar. I'm just guessing though.
Who Else? Posted December 23, 2011 Report Posted December 23, 2011 Why are people still bagging Weber? He is obviosly ruff's #7 defenseman. If he was as good as the top 2 you have something to complain about. He had one huge mistake last game. He was solid tonight. Besides how many goals aren't one defencemen's or anothers fault. Why isn't everyone piling on Miller? He made one huge mistake tonight and almost makes 5 times more than Weber.
Derrico Posted December 23, 2011 Report Posted December 23, 2011 Hope you didn't lose too much tonight. It's bad enough you lost bragging rights. GO SABRES!!! $60 but hearing the leaf fans tomorrow will be worse than the cash.... Miller let's in a soft game winning goal and WGR post game show is blaming Regehr's trip? You don't seriously think this game is on Miller's head do you?

What is wrong with Ellis, you all want to bring him down too. The fans want effort. There is your effort. If he was super talented and played that hard he would be a 5 Million dollar a year winger and wouldn't be on the team. When there is a salary cap and you overpay players, you have to deal with what's left.
JohnRobertEichel Posted December 23, 2011 Report Posted December 23, 2011 Well, we're now one game closer to the inevitable firing of Ruff and Regier.
Derrico Posted December 23, 2011 Report Posted December 23, 2011 Paul just said on wgr that he has never seen Pommer this mad, said he was shaking and had a hard job to even speak. I like to hear that because this team should have been much better than they've shown. Ruff has taken a ton of heat for this but few are calling out the captain. I know he as an individual has played well but we need him to be a better leader. I know they care, but this sounds like the loss has really got to him. On an unrelated note, I hope Vanek is ok.

When there is a salary cap and you overpay players, you have to deal with what's left. Weber is a solid defenseman who has really never been given a fulltime chance to work out his once in a while blunders. He plays solid d takes the body and usually makes safe plays to get the puck out of his zone. If he was given the playing time Sekera has been given I bet he would have come along really well..You watch when we make a deal he is the one to be dealt and watch him go and become a fulltime solid dman playing game deciding minutes when holding a lead...Just sayin

deluca67 Posted December 23, 2011 Report Posted December 23, 2011 $60 but hearing the leaf fans tomorrow will be worse than the cash.... You don't seriously think this game is on Miller's head do you? That soft goal outweighs all previous saves.
Derrico Posted December 23, 2011 Report Posted December 23, 2011 That soft goal outweighs all previous saves. I must disagree. Even with that goal he gaven them a chance to win. It could have easily been 3-0 T.O. after one. This team has to score more than two goals a game. With the chances the leafs had, it's amazing only three went in.
Doohicksie Posted December 23, 2011 Report Posted December 23, 2011 The Sabres always seem to play respectable, competitive hockey. Which don't mean sh!t if they still lose. Really..... I almost don't care anymore.

I almost don't care anymore. And that's why you and I and everyone here are Sabres fans. I know you'll be watching the game against Washington.
R_Dudley Posted December 23, 2011 Report Posted December 23, 2011 Have not read the thread so pardon me for any repeats. Defintely the best complete game I have seen from this team in a little while. -They were finishing their checks tonight and battling for the puck in corners. -They did not surrender ice and challenged TO regularly outside their own blue line. -I loved Regehr going after Phanuef when he cheap shotted Vanek and the overall defense with clearing the crease for Miller when he had the puck frooze and TO were taking liberties. -Mcnabb looked good and played another physical game tonight and even got some power play time and did not look terribly out of place there either. -Miller played well even given the 3rd goal which I think he would like to have back. A little weak yeah but still much better overall poise and play on the puck by him so hopefully he is getting his game in order. -The difference tonight once again Toronto capitalized on their scoring chances more then Buffalo. However if Bflo can start to play this way night in and night out the chances will begin to bounce their way and they will start to win more than they lose.
Formerly Allan in MD Posted December 23, 2011 Report Posted December 23, 2011 Sabres for the "Chefs of the Year" award - turnovers.
Eleven Posted December 23, 2011 Report Posted December 23, 2011 Sabres for the "Chefs of the Year" award - turnovers. Well, the award definitely wasn't going to the cooks at the F'n C.

It was a sniper shot through a screen. We have seen a lot softer recently.
Kristian Posted December 23, 2011 Report Posted December 23, 2011 So can I. IF....you get the regulars back and they play with that intensity, you would have a top 12 team. But that doesn't happen but once in a blue moon. Tonight lost 2 points will never be the problem. It's all the points lost due to the Lindy Specials, this team seems to be so fond of.
neverenough Posted December 23, 2011 Report Posted December 23, 2011 I could care less about the sabres effort! This team has let the fans down, the city of Buffalo down, and the man that has poured his hard earned money into this team. Nobody gets fired? Nobody gets traded? What the hell is going on with the front office? Mr Black what do you have to say? Hockey heaven? Terry P are you on vacation? W
