Ghost of Dwight Drane Posted December 20, 2011 Report Posted December 20, 2011 Merry xmas everybody, im out of action for awhile with an injury so i cant type. Merry Xmas....hang tough.
That Aud Smell Posted December 20, 2011 Report Posted December 20, 2011 Merry xmas everybody, im out of action for awhile with an injury so i cant type. x! merry christmas (x-mas!), good sir. and god speed on your recovery as well.
Samson's Flow Posted December 20, 2011 Report Posted December 20, 2011 Vanek - Roy - Pominville Adam - Chewie - Stafford Foligno - Gaustad - Kassian Cody - Ellis - Whitmore  Why can't we put Adam at center and go back to the one successful line we had early in the season? Two or three games without Adam scoring a point early in the season not only relegated him off the line but over to wing as well? I give up... :bag:
K-9 Posted December 20, 2011 Report Posted December 20, 2011 Merry xmas everybody, im out of action for awhile with an injury so i cant type. Is there anybody in Rochester that can type for you in the meantime? GO SABRES!!! Vanek - Roy - Pominville Adam - Chewie - Stafford Foligno - Gaustad - Kassian Cody - Ellis - Whitmore Looks like Lindy is playing the "Roy in Ottawa" card. It's reasonable to expect Roy will be somewhat motivated because it's in Ottawa right? Still hoping to see Adam with Foligno and Kassian for a few shifts at least. GO SABRES!!!
mercury Posted December 20, 2011 Report Posted December 20, 2011 Numbers don't tell the whole story. +/- is not a good stat to judge how well or bad a player is playing. Sigh. You have to be careful when looking at purely quantitative analysis. While he does lead the team in +/-, it's important to look at it qualitatively as well. Someone posted a link earlier showing that most of MAG's playing time has come against the third liners of the other team, as well as powerplay time. By playing his pairing against the weakest opposition, you get a lower chance of being scored on and a higher chance of scoring compared to highly skilled opponents. It is the same argument as when Vanek was +47 a few years back playing on the third line of a stacked sabres team. When MAG is getting equal playing time as AHL call-ups (which includes his added PP time) that shows that he does not have the confidence of LR to play in all situations. That is a solid reply. Thank you.
dEnnis the Menace Posted December 20, 2011 Report Posted December 20, 2011 Merry xmas everybody, im out of action for awhile with an injury so i cant type. Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays. Get better!! Vanek - Roy - Pominville Adam - Chewie - Stafford Foligno - Gaustad - Kassian Cody - Ellis - Whitmore Not sure I like Roy back on top...Chewie and Adam were definitely better in that role IMO. Is there anybody in Rochester that can type for you in the meantime? GO SABRES!!! no, we'd have to call someone up from the minor league affiliate of the minor league affiliate...

DumbPuck Posted December 20, 2011 Report Posted December 20, 2011 Merry xmas everybody, im out of action for awhile with an injury so i cant type. Merry Christmas and get better soon ... we need you sanity 'round these parts.
Derrico Posted December 20, 2011 Report Posted December 20, 2011  Why can't we put Adam at center and go back to the one successful line we had early in the season? Two or three games without Adam scoring a point early in the season not only relegated him off the line but over to wing as well? I give up... :bag: I'm with you. Don't know why we're not going back to that Adam, Vanek, Pom line. As also stated by another poster, an Adam, Foligno, Kassian line would be awesome! Either way, Let's Go Buffalo!!
mercury Posted December 20, 2011 Report Posted December 20, 2011 Still hoping to see Adam with Foligno and Kassian for a few shifts at least. As also stated by another poster, an Adam, Foligno, Kassian line would be awesome! That line was quite potent in the Traverse City Prospects Tournament. As I recall, however, their momentum did not carry forward into the preseason.

As I recall, however, their momentum did not carry forward into the preseason. they looked overwhelmed when they played together in the preseason. but that was the preseason. i'm willing to see LR try anything at this point.
SDS Posted December 20, 2011 Report Posted December 20, 2011 Merry xmas everybody, im out of action for awhile with an injury so i cant type. So you finally gave in and entered your credit card info so you could "Join Now!"?

Figster Posted December 20, 2011 Report Posted December 20, 2011 Happy Holidays to all, and I hope you get well soon Benedict, I don't know about you fellas, but I just want to get the last ass whipping we took from the Penguins out of my head, good grief...
LaFontaineToMogilny Posted December 20, 2011 Report Posted December 20, 2011 Vanek - Roy - Pominville Adam - Chewie - Stafford Foligno - Gaustad - Kassian Cody - Ellis - Whitmore Not surprised, yet very relieved to see Vanek is ready to go
bunomatic Posted December 20, 2011 Report Posted December 20, 2011 I'll be watching the game via the internet this morning from Bali. Or will I. Aside from seeing young Foligno and a few of the other kids there's no real reason to upset my vacation and watch. Like a glutton for punishment I'll give it a go. Just frikken win ! GO SABRES!
frissonic Posted December 20, 2011 Report Posted December 20, 2011 I now have spent the last 20 minutes watching Arrested Development clips. may we assume that that 20 minutes has now extended into a few hours? i cannot wait for the movie. it cannot get here fast enough.
bunomatic Posted December 20, 2011 Report Posted December 20, 2011 Not surprised, yet very relieved to see Vanek is ready to go I give it about 8 minutes and Ruff will reunite Kassian,Adam, and foligno.

biodork Posted December 20, 2011 Report Posted December 20, 2011 Merry xmas everybody, im out of action for awhile with an injury so i cant type. I'll echo others here and say hopefully nothing too serious! Thank goodness for technology and speak-to-type functions, although we'll understand if you're unable to contribute your usual insight for a while. Get well soon!
Marine0369 Posted December 20, 2011 Report Posted December 20, 2011 I would also like to see adam, kassian and foligno together. I think they would make for a good mix of talent, strength and speed. However I do not think that line will be able to counter the embarassment that the established core puts us through. Next season it will be funny to see them and mcnab put gaustad pommers and stafford out of jobs.As well as grags' worthless a$$. Regher for captain!!!!! or Vanek. and by the way thanks to who ever it was that gave out timmy c photos in an effort to get everyone to post there own pic. i dont think we all look as good as chz. well im sure we dont look as fugly as tim though. i stand corrected.
Lanny Posted December 20, 2011 Report Posted December 20, 2011 I recall it as very funny. The whole fight seemed like it happened out of accident more than anything else like something they felt they both had to go through with though they really didn't want to. In the end a fight not much worse than the bust ups that happens between brothers every single day. The best part of it was that Keith had to call his mom after the game to apologize for fighting with his brother. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sB2z_mdIQ3k
