This is crap.

Which part is factually inaccurate?

Did Leopold directly cause the 1st goal?

Did Pominville fail to cover the D-man on the powerplay?

Did Vanek turn the puck over for the 4th goal?

I help you with the answer, the answer is Yes.

Well at least they beat my early over/under of 15 shots...

EDIT: Speaking of which, I thought I inducted you into team rainbows - what gives?

I don't like the taste of Kool-Aid and the smoke being blown up my a$$ makes me fell uncomfortable.

But most of all, I'd like to talk to Stafford and reassure him that nobody can make him feel inferior without his permission. He needs to keep his chin up and keep pushing through this temporary slump. He's pressing a bit. I'm just thankful Lindy has the foresight to let him continue to work his way through it.

GO SABRES!!!

You probably didn't get the spiked kool-aid. And you'll get your turn to do the smoke blowing.

Why did Weber get spared?

It is my fault that I let Buffalo sports bother me so much. I just wish they did not suck every single year.

Is there any wonder Bills and Sabres have so many injuries? It is quite simple, the opponent always dictates play. If our teams are gonna suck so much, at least be physical while doing so.

Why did Weber get spared?

The second goal was all Szczechura. Weber got a piece of his man, just not enough to take him out of the play and he couldn't recover in time. That's one goal as a result of AHLers and 3 a result on NHLers.

What about all the bad decisions and missed passes and lost battles by the AHLers that led up to those final play to end up in the net? And you said that the AHLers seem to be the only ones showing up. Here are your team leaders. You have to go 17 players down to find an AHLer.

I think he was just pointing out the guys with one mistake.... Weber was in the "whole buncha mistakes" group. He's saving that post for later, you know, gotta spread 'em out a little.

I would have said Weber was watching the puck and not the man. I thought he had plenty of time to tie him up.

Weber's job isn't to knock Condra into next week like he tried to do, all he has to do is tie his stick up and keep him off the puck. He couldn't do that. Gragnani would have been flamed if he were in that position.

It may not be his job, but if he's gonna commit, at least make enough contact to alter his line to the net. It was a complete whiff..... embarassing.

That couldn't possibly have anything to do with games played? Where do the AHLers stand when it comes to hits, blocked shots and giveaways?

This tough patch the team is going through brings to mind that old English proverb about how a smooth sea never made a skilled mariner. We just need to stay the course.

First of all, I usually don;t have as big of a problem with Gragnani as the majority of the board does,

Second, I am not going to flame a player for trying to be physical while playing for one of the softest teams in the league. Just like I wouldn't flame Gaustad for the ruffing penalty.

hahahaha!!! you blame this teams performance on injuries!?!? did you watch them towards the beginning of the season up until now or did you just start tuning in when miller returned?

This is nearly stupid. The team that played tonight and the team "towards the beginning of the season" are vastly different.

I won't get on Gaustad for that, either, but that should have been a bilateral penalty. Chris Neil gets away with one again...

Agreed. I like Weber a LOT, but that was a bad play. Chewie lost it just above the blue line, and then Weber, with the last clear chance to prevent a goal, didn't.

I watched the replay a few times. Weber is in position watching the play when the puck comes lose he immediately makes contact with the Sen. It is definitely a play he needs to be much better on. Still, not as poor a play as the three other Sens goals.

I thought Gaudstad got the penalty previous to Neil getting involved.

Um, same owner, same president, same GM, same coach, and same uniforms. I don't see how any casual observer can argue that it's not the same team.

On another note, I'd just like to paraphrase Thomas Edison and say that the Sabres have not failed at all. Instead, they've found a bunch of ways that don't work.

Perhaps we could at least make Gragnani walk the plank

  1. Fire Lindy and replace with Randy Carlyle.
  2. Fire Darcy and get a GM in here worth his salt...Craig Button comes to mind.
  3. Trade the deadwood - Roy and Stafford would be a nice start...

If we don't do anything in the next 3 weeks, then kiss off this season....Maybe we don't have to do all 3 things I listed, but one of my suggestions may help...

If you are intent on making moves, then the only move you make is #2 - replace Darcy. You let the new GM come in and start moving players and let him decide on who should be behind the bench. (You could give him orders to find a new coach but let him be involved with the process of identifying and hiring.)

I'd be ok with that!
