spndnchz Posted December 20, 2011 Report Posted December 20, 2011 Two more Amerks called up. Whitmore and Foligno both may play tonight vs the Sens. Vanek probable.
Corp000085 Posted December 20, 2011 Report Posted December 20, 2011 Lets see how they will baffle us tonight. LETS GO BUFFALO!
dEnnis the Menace Posted December 20, 2011 Report Posted December 20, 2011 Is it sad that I now look at games with more hope of getting out of it without injuries rather than winning?
spndnchz Posted December 20, 2011 Author Report Posted December 20, 2011 Ruff says Miller starting tonight.
novascotiaguy Posted December 20, 2011 Report Posted December 20, 2011 Miller in goal tonight, Ruff said on wgr that Vanek should play and that macnab will be back in the line up. Wonder if there is any chance we see the Kassian, Adam, Foligno line tonight. Lets just hope they show up for the game. GO SABRES
rbochan Posted December 20, 2011 Report Posted December 20, 2011 Shouldn't the title be Amerks at Senators?
spndnchz Posted December 20, 2011 Author Report Posted December 20, 2011 Shouldn't the title be Amerks at Senators? We are the Buffchestnett Sabricaniators.
DumbPuck Posted December 20, 2011 Report Posted December 20, 2011 We are the Buffchestnett Sabricaniators. Where is the "nett" from ?
FolignosJock Posted December 20, 2011 Report Posted December 20, 2011 Where is the "nett" from ? Gwinnett Gladiators
darksabre Posted December 20, 2011 Report Posted December 20, 2011 Miller sucks against Ottawa, but I guess Lindy just wants to put the pressure on this team to win it. Road game though, so there's that. Just fricken win.
Kristian Posted December 20, 2011 Report Posted December 20, 2011 I'm expecting the perfect 2-1 road game win tonight. 60 minutes of tight checking, some strong goaltending from Miller, and a timely PP goal to win it. Next home game though, I'm expecting us to go up by 2 in the first, and get blown out 7-0 in the 2nd and 3rd, but that's for another GDT.
wonderbread Posted December 20, 2011 Report Posted December 20, 2011 I can't wait. I'll take a boring loss tonight.
CallawaySabres Posted December 20, 2011 Report Posted December 20, 2011 stay above the 9 spot. If they dip below that, bad things man......baaad things.
dEnnis the Menace Posted December 20, 2011 Report Posted December 20, 2011 We should know the lines after the morning skate right? do we have enough forwards that we won't have to dress 7 defensemen? and if we dress 6 D-men, who sits tonight?

I would prefer to dress 7 d-men. Grags might as well be a forward anyway.
dEnnis the Menace Posted December 20, 2011 Report Posted December 20, 2011 I would prefer to dress 7 d-men. Grags might as well be a forward anyway. I'm sick of him being a turnover/giveaway machine. If Myers could sit for a game, Grags can sit for a few. especially to give McNasty some time out there, IMO of course.
shrader Posted December 20, 2011 Report Posted December 20, 2011 I'm glad to see Whitmore finally get his shot. In my mind, he's earned it with his constant production during his time in the AHL. I just wish he had actually earned it in the eyes of the front office instead of being the 27th in line, only called up because of the eleventh biblical plague has hit this roster.

Well at least the turnovers wouldn't be as bad if he wasn't at the blueline :bag:
thesportsbuff Posted December 20, 2011 Report Posted December 20, 2011 i've given up in trying to keep track of the injuries. Whitmore and Foligno were called up -- are they both going to replace injured forwards, or was one called up just in case Vanek can't go?

Vanek is probable, Ennis and Stuart are both down for the count now.
FolignosJock Posted December 20, 2011 Report Posted December 20, 2011 Why havent they fired the strength and conditioning coach yet?
LabattBlue Posted December 20, 2011 Report Posted December 20, 2011 Even before the injuries this team was unpredictable. Now...who knows? GO SABRES!!!

While I don't feel one way or the other about him, I would like to hear his critics explain the fact that he currently leads the team in plus-minus by a healthy margin.

Numbers don't tell the whole story. Despite what appears to be good hockey on the stats sheet, I find his mistakes come at crucial times and that the plays he doesn't make hurt the team more than the plays he does. It's not a feeling I can explain away with stats. It's a quality judgment. I simply do not like the hockey that he plays.
