JohnRobertEichel Posted December 18, 2011 Report Posted December 18, 2011 Gragnani = the Nathan Paetsch of 2011.
North Buffalo Posted December 18, 2011 Report Posted December 18, 2011 Sabres goalies couldn't stop a broad side of a barn.
carpandean Posted December 18, 2011 Report Posted December 18, 2011 You know what sucks? If it ends this way, Enroth will get the loss despite letting in just 1 of the 6 goals. Er ... 2 of 7. Ok. Now he can have the loss.
itbeatswalking Posted December 18, 2011 Report Posted December 18, 2011 What the f*** happened to our goalies !!?!??
sabres1970 Posted December 18, 2011 Report Posted December 18, 2011 This is disgusting. I didn't think I'd ever be saying this this soon but where the heck is Pegula? So active over the summer, but absent now. I get that he doesn't want to intrude on the guys he hired, but the circumstances are different now. Oh, and FIRE RUFF.
itbeatswalking Posted December 18, 2011 Report Posted December 18, 2011 Oh and great coverage by Roy on the last 2-3
North Buffalo Posted December 18, 2011 Report Posted December 18, 2011 common stafford skate what a lazy pos. He almost allowed a wide open shot. Did I say this is pathetic....
Robviously Posted December 18, 2011 Report Posted December 18, 2011 common stafford skate what a lazy pos. He almost allowed a wide open shot. Dude, why? He's already got his contract. No point in continuing to try and possibly getting hurt. We probably "have other guys for that."
K-9 Posted December 18, 2011 Report Posted December 18, 2011 I think Ruff should resign. I'd be embarrassed to call myself coach of these gutless wonders. He'd be snapped up soon so it's not like he'd be out of a job for long. Can't say that for most of our players, though. GO SABRES!!!
zow2 Posted December 18, 2011 Report Posted December 18, 2011 great that they start playing hard after the game has been decided. Need to be hard on the puck from the beginning
North Buffalo Posted December 18, 2011 Report Posted December 18, 2011 Sit Stafford and then Grags. Send Roy to the third line and call up some more of the young boys. Even if they don't play well, they will eventually and the Sabres can get a higher draft pick. Put the ones you can't trade on waivers and send the to the AHL if they make that far.

Except that Ruff clearly has a say in who the team signs, re-signs, trades for, etc. If this roster can't win, Ruff is partly to blame. And, yeah, he should be embarrassed by this.
Lumpy Posted December 18, 2011 Report Posted December 18, 2011 Hoping it becomes 9-3 soon - the bigger the loss the more difficult to keep things the same. I have lurked here for a long time enjoying the (mostly) intelligent conversation about the team that has troubled me throughout my misspent youth. This group of under achieving floaters kills me. I had such high hopes.
87168 Posted December 18, 2011 Report Posted December 18, 2011 Say what you guys want, this team's performance is a direct reflection of the coaching staff...
Iron Crotch Posted December 18, 2011 Report Posted December 18, 2011 If ever the team needed a blockbuster trade to shake things up it is now. Too bad Darcy doesn't have the stones for that sort of thing.
Neo Posted December 18, 2011 Report Posted December 18, 2011 Dupius worked harder in the last thirty seconds than a few of our forwards (you've already named them) did on any given shift.
nobody Posted December 18, 2011 Report Posted December 18, 2011 This was one of those exciting losses; right?
LaFontaineToMogilny Posted December 18, 2011 Report Posted December 18, 2011 My stream of the game was kind of blurry, but did I see Ruff yawning on the bench while the Sabres were getting pissed on? If so he needs to be gone!

sabres1970 Posted December 18, 2011 Report Posted December 18, 2011 Where the heck is everyone? After a game like this you'd think people would want to vent!
Lumpy Posted December 18, 2011 Report Posted December 18, 2011 Welcome Lumpy! Thanks. I have long ago written off the Bills, but I really thought something special was going to happen to this team at the beginning of the year. The team shows flashes of brilliance, but mostly on a Haley's comet-type regularity. The worst thing about this, is having sat as a kid with the Skip Krake/Phil Goyette-era Sabres in the Aud with my Dad, this is still one thing us two Buffalo exiles can talk about in the present tense about our old home town. The conversations are increasingly dreary and predictable. I think we will go back to discussing his health and my job,
CallawaySabres Posted December 18, 2011 Report Posted December 18, 2011 Did not see any of the game and I won't ask....ok, maybe one question, does miller still have a concussion or have we already seen his best during the Olympic season?
JJFIVEOH Posted December 18, 2011 Report Posted December 18, 2011 Miller will be 37th in the league in GAA when it's all said and done. Nice.
Who Else? Posted December 18, 2011 Report Posted December 18, 2011 Except that Ruff clearly has a say in who the team signs, re-signs, trades for, etc. If this roster can't win, Ruff is partly to blame. And, yeah, he should be embarrassed by this. Who started Miller? Who chose MAG over McNabb? Who prepared the team to play against the Pens forecheck?
