deluca67 Posted December 18, 2011 Report Posted December 18, 2011 Somebody hit Someone FFS!!!!!!!!!!! Absolutely pedestrian tonight it sounds like Vanek is the only one having a crack at it... Better call Ghostbusters i think we've got a class 3 vapour in net tonight.. And DeLuca let me know when they reach the Emerald City.. They have just reached the front door,
itbeatswalking Posted December 18, 2011 Report Posted December 18, 2011 I thought that Matt Ellis is supposed to be a "safe" player and that's why he was played. He was out there for 3 goals against tonight
itbeatswalking Posted December 18, 2011 Report Posted December 18, 2011 This is our worst game all season. Can we just forfeit because there is no winning this game, do basically just a chance for injury.
njh2604 Posted December 18, 2011 Report Posted December 18, 2011 Can we trade Darcy Regier to the Laffs for a pocket calculator and a twinkie?
Iron Crotch Posted December 18, 2011 Report Posted December 18, 2011 Since I love to bag on Pommer, here goes... Shouldn't the captain of our beloved Sabres be the kind of player who can put the team on his back and say "follow me boys?" Shouldn't the captain be the kind of player who gives maximum effort game in and game out? A "heart and soul" type of player? Seems to me this team has a leadership void and I can't help but question the leadership coming from our nice guy captain. I know he's having a great year statistically, but should he really be wearing the C?
87168 Posted December 18, 2011 Report Posted December 18, 2011 Can we trade Darcy Regier to the Laffs for a pocket calculator and a twinkie? dude we'd be robbing them blind if they accepted.
deluca67 Posted December 18, 2011 Report Posted December 18, 2011 Can we trade Darcy Regier to the Laffs for a pocket calculator and a twinkie? The Sabres would have to add Kassian to make up for the difference in toughness between Regier and the Twinkie.
Derrico Posted December 18, 2011 Report Posted December 18, 2011 What game were you watching. Yes, he had a learning curve early, but I like that he simplified his game and ended the game playing well. I would take him over Grags. But the real problem is the non skating forwards on the first and second lines. I can't debate you on having him over MAG because I'd rather have almost anyone play over him. But I'm assuming when you say ended the game well you mean ending his game well because he stepped off the ice with 9:57 remaining in the game and never sniffed the ice again. I thought McNabb has been played pretty poorly over the past few games. He only had 3 shifts in the 1st, two in the second and 3 in the third and I noticed him on atleast two occasions making poor decisions and never noticed his physical side. Just my opinion on him. I love his long term future in this league but he needs to figure some things out in Rochester, he's still very yong.
deluca67 Posted December 18, 2011 Report Posted December 18, 2011 They have just confronted the Wizard for the first time.
njh2604 Posted December 18, 2011 Report Posted December 18, 2011 They have just confronted the Wizard for the first time. He was a cranky little bastard..
deluca67 Posted December 18, 2011 Report Posted December 18, 2011 Are they afraid to hit anyone ? Afraid to get benched if they do?
tulax Posted December 18, 2011 Report Posted December 18, 2011 You would rather play colin stuart instead of a 7th D? McNabb has been one of our better D man. Sit MAG after last Wednesday, and then last nights 3rd period. I thought McNabb looked uncomfortable at times last night. The hit aside, I saw him have trouble in spots when the Leaf forwards would put pressure on the D trying to bring the puck out deep of the zone. My thought was that given that they were playing with a short bench at forward last night they could use a normal roster in the second of back to back games. However, as Stuart has played only about 4 minutes tonight you can throw that thought out of the window. On McNabb, I agree that hes been extremely impressive over the course of his season in Buffalo. Hopefully he'll have a long career in the blue and gold. Of course he'll have bumps in the road. I thought his benching was more situational than anything else.
Knightrider Posted December 18, 2011 Report Posted December 18, 2011 why is miller back in!?!?!? Myers, Enroth, and one other injured guy had a conditioning practice this morning, and had nothing in the tank...
SwampD Posted December 18, 2011 Report Posted December 18, 2011 Afraid to get benched if they do?

SwampD Posted December 18, 2011 Report Posted December 18, 2011 Jusr Fu####g get one before the 2nd intermission GDit!!!!
K-9 Posted December 18, 2011 Report Posted December 18, 2011 Myers, Enroth, and one other injured guy had a conditioning practice this morning, and had nothing in the tank... I don't get why they would have the backup goalie undergo a conditioning skate on the day of a game. Is this a common practice? Shouldn't the assumption be, "we might need him tonight?" GO SABRES!!!
mrjsbu96 Posted December 18, 2011 Report Posted December 18, 2011 Wizard Of Oz is on TNT. thank you for this - i just came off like a genius...without the game being on the main television I said after leaving this forum to my wife " you know what honey, we can watch hockey anytime, let's see if Wizard of Oz is on tonight since they usually play it around Christastime!" Now if this pays off later I will really owe you...
... Posted December 18, 2011 Report Posted December 18, 2011 How about putting the goalie pads on MAGs, Lindy.
