korab rules Posted December 16, 2011 Report Posted December 16, 2011 He's an awesome character and all, but I've always gotten that vibe from Yukon Cornelius. Maybe it's just from him hanging around with that lame dentist elf. And the way he licks his ice axe? It gets pretty lonely when you're out prospecting at the north pole...
shrader Posted December 16, 2011 Report Posted December 16, 2011 Apparently not, but that doesn't mean you are wrong. I haven't heard a single Penn State joke on tv/radio in recent weeks. Nope, not a single one.
Sabres Fan in NS Posted December 16, 2011 Report Posted December 16, 2011 Really? That is poor taste For the first and quite possibly last time ... I agree with you kid.
2ForTripping Posted December 16, 2011 Report Posted December 16, 2011 If an older woman who preys on young men is a cougar... What is an older man who preys on young boys called? A nittany lion
That Aud Smell Posted December 16, 2011 Report Posted December 16, 2011 I haven't heard a single Penn State joke on tv/radio in recent weeks. Nope, not a single one. and it is, of course, television and radio content that serve as a moral compass on whether a particular subject matter is proper fodder for jokes. If an older woman who preys on young men is a cougar...What is an older man who preys on young boys called? A nittany lion <_<
dEnnis the Menace Posted December 16, 2011 Report Posted December 16, 2011 If an older woman who preys on young men is a cougar... What is an older man who preys on young boys called? A nittany lion is it bad that a lawyer told me that joke? at a holiday banquet...yeah...
shrader Posted December 16, 2011 Report Posted December 16, 2011 and it is, of course, television and radio content that serve as a moral compass on whether a particular subject matter is proper fodder for jokes. So if I had left it at "it's open season on 12 year olds" would that have been ok? Of course, the same joke is still implied in what in that line.

Of course, the same joke is still implied in what in that line. whatever you did/said is "okay", of course -- i'm being a bit pissy about this sandusky/fine stuff. but, yeah -- if the joke had been left at that, it would've been left in the realm of an in-joke about shanahan, lucic, miller, etc. of course, someone would've jumped in with the sandusky rejoinder.

Of course, the same joke is still implied in what in that line. implied is a little different but still not acceptable. I really dont have boundaries but this is one that I do have. I do think some of it is a little funny but its not ok. I laugh and then I feel disgusted.

Never listen to a man holding an ice axe ... they don't have to disappear, although I have to assume he is being sarcastic, as I have seen his morals demonstrated on this board in the past.

I do think some of it is a little funny but its not ok. I laugh and then I feel disgusted. I don't have boundaries, but that was too much. That kind of statement just doesn't add up to me. But anyway, what was the South Park line about how long it takes until something can be joked about?
PromoTheRobot Posted December 17, 2011 Report Posted December 17, 2011 I live in NH and the local news just did the story. The Dedham, MA police say they have videos from several sources (cell phones) which should give an idea of what actually happened. Not surprisingly many people are in Milbury damage control mode. The owner of the rink and sponsor of the team his kid plays on are all defending Milbury saying he did nothing wrong. PTR
Bmwolf21 Posted December 17, 2011 Report Posted December 17, 2011 Shanny says milbury never looked up until it was too late to avoid the kid. Outstanding. Does anyone else think its a little too soon for these jokes? I am incredibly vulgar but raping little kids is a little over the line, lets try and keep this classy boys. Yes. Eleven Posted December 17, 2011 Report Posted December 17, 2011 What kind of shoe did he use? That seems to be the problem. It was a size-14 leopard-skin high heel that Milbury was wearing that night...
wjag Posted December 17, 2011 Report Posted December 17, 2011 So sad.... :flirt: "Both networks announced Friday that he'd been taken off the air."

Samson's Flow Posted December 18, 2011 Report Posted December 18, 2011 When I first read the thread title I assumed the 'milbury' in question was our friendly leafs poster of the same name.
ParkMeadow Posted December 18, 2011 Report Posted December 18, 2011 The full story http://www.boston.co...lied/?page=full As suspected, lots more to the story than the initial hyperbolic headline. Had Milbury been just the sponsor of the tournament, and not the parent of one of the kids involved in the scuffle, then there is no story here at all. Unfortunate that there were no officials on the ice when it happened, but it sounds like the coach of Milbury's son's team restrained the wrong kid. Again, no story if Milbury just grabs his own kid and pulls him away. Where was the coach of the other team during the altercation? It was his responsibility to be in the middle of the scrum breakup as well. Seems like he was slow to respond to the initial incident but very quick to get into it with Milbury! From what I read in the Globe story, there was no crime commited by Milbury. Bad judgement, yes. The real shame is that it ruined what should have been a nice event.
Marvelo Posted December 18, 2011 Report Posted December 18, 2011 As much as I despise Milbury, these are probably trumped up charges from someone looking for $$.
wjag Posted December 18, 2011 Report Posted December 18, 2011 As much as I despise Milbury, these are probably trumped up charges from someone looking for $$. He's clearly guilty.. Hang him and his jersey from the rafters..

Sabel79 Posted December 18, 2011 Report Posted December 18, 2011 That's what the TSN article says too. If so he's in trouble. http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=382908 Done. Thankfully. Not only can he no longer destroy NHL franchises, but he's just ensured that I no longer have to listen to his mindless drivel during Vs. / CBC broadcasts. I say well done, Sir. Veritable gift to the rest of humanity.
