spndnchz Posted December 16, 2011 Report Posted December 16, 2011 Hard to believe that it’s taken this long, but the Buffalo Sabres and Toronto Maple Leafs will finally meet for the first time this season tomorrow night at First Niagara Center. In fact, Toronto is the only Eastern Conference team the Sabres have yet to play this season. This will be the first Fios game. Channel 577 on Fios.
samothyev Posted December 16, 2011 Report Posted December 16, 2011 Yeah I found that odd when I saw it. They did play each other I believe it was twice in the preseason. Which team shows up tonight for Buffalo? Let's go BUFFALO!
Derrico Posted December 16, 2011 Report Posted December 16, 2011 I've got about $150 worth of bets on this game (and that's only betting $10 to $20 per person). Will I get an extra nice little gift for the wife this year or have to cut back on eating out over the next month? Let's Go Buffalo!!!!!!
dEnnis the Menace Posted December 16, 2011 Report Posted December 16, 2011 I'm going tonight, and it'll be the first time in a LOOOONNNGGG time that I've been to a Sabres/Leafs game. Last time I had a group of Leafs fans trying to pick fight with me from the parking lot all the way to my section. I really hope the team shows up tonight. I hate the Leafs almost as much as I hate Philly or Boston...
That Aud Smell Posted December 16, 2011 Report Posted December 16, 2011 the leaf game comes at just the right time. i hope. i've sort of burned out on this team -- the injuries, the call-ups, the inconsistency, the lackluster play that infects long stretches of every game, the losses at home (god, the losses at home). but if they can get right against the leafs in what will be a festive playoff atmosphere? that could be the start of something good. otoh, if the leafs were to win 5-2, with connolly getting the winner and an assist, then i will likely jump out the nearest window.*** *** it will be a first floor window. and i will not jump THROUGH the glass. but, you get the idea.
Captainkirk001 Posted December 16, 2011 Report Posted December 16, 2011 I think the sabres come out hard on this one being that it is the leafs and after the Ottawa loss....Unfortunately, Ive thought they would come out all year after a tough loss and play hard for 60 minutes and win.......
LaLaLaFontaine Posted December 16, 2011 Report Posted December 16, 2011 We will loose again. There was no heart in the team within the last games, why should it. change today? Maybe we are lucky and Toronto give us Christmass present. But i wouldn't bet on this. 5:2 Toronto and everybody on this board will cry and call for major changes. I hope they proof me wrong.
millbank Posted December 16, 2011 Report Posted December 16, 2011 Here's hoping for good solid beat down only way to silence the ridicule, say about 7 - 8 to nothing. Then send everyone over the boards and punch out every single one of them and find their girl friends and take them home .....
papazoid Posted December 16, 2011 Report Posted December 16, 2011 best "crowds" of any opponent......place will be jumping !!
CallawaySabres Posted December 16, 2011 Report Posted December 16, 2011 Bring the pain tonight. Win, lose, whatever - BRING THE PAIN. I want hard hits from start to finish and for these guys to make it uncomfortable for the Leafs tonight. There is NO reason Regher, Kaleta, McCormick, Gaustad, Kassian, McNabb and Weber can't fight for pucks and make it hell in the corners. Time to get an identity on this team and if they are going to lose, make the Leafs earn it.

Last time I had a group of Leafs fans trying to pick fight with me from the parking lot all the way to my section. I really hope the team shows up tonight. ROCBuffalo Posted December 16, 2011 Report Posted December 16, 2011 Kevin Sundher coming up to the sabres....... is this true....Skipping the Amerks??? Kevin Sundher coming up to the sabres....... is this true....Skipping the Amerks??? NVM he was just signed to a 3 year entry level contract.
CallawaySabres Posted December 16, 2011 Report Posted December 16, 2011 Now that Washington is in the top 8, I think you are looking at Buffalo or Toronto soon to be dropping below the line for good. One point less right now and Buffalo sits in 13th. I would say this game tonight goes a looong way in the standings. Sabres MUST keep their heads above that 9 spot until some guys start coming back. Screw the division, just stay afloat.

spndnchz Posted December 16, 2011 Author Report Posted December 16, 2011 Only with no subsequent posts in between, correct? I think so lets try it. Do a post right away and I'll respond and see. Miller first off the ice. Enroth starts?

Rox11 Posted December 16, 2011 Report Posted December 16, 2011 If Kaleta is in, does MAG sit in place of Weber? Finally????
Derrico Posted December 16, 2011 Report Posted December 16, 2011 I think so lets try it. Do a post right away and I'll respond and see. Miller first off the ice. Enroth starts? No friggen way!!!! Miller has the Leafs number and it's a division game. Save Enroth for Saturday. Want to continue? I'll bet $20 that if we win tonight Miller gets the start tomorrow. According to Chez it sounds like Enroth possibly in tonight which means no bet because Miller would then go tomorrow, regardless. On a side note, I hate working in an office where you are outnumbered by leaf fans 11 to 1.
