Erie County Sheriff's deputies responded to a call of an SUV driving erratically without a front tire.

Kind of hard not to be driving erractically without a front tire... That must have been some BAC...

Tragic. Had everything going for him until the domestic abuse thing hit.

Yep. I had a good friend that I saw head down that same path of self destruction. An almost eerie comparison. Domestic disputes, divorce, drunk/disorderly, DUI. Sad.

You list the domestic dispute before the alcohol as the primary issue? I think you have the cart before the horse.

I see what you're saying. The alcohol led to the domestic abuse, and which also led to the DWI. I stand corrected.

That whole thing seemed to disappear pretty quickly. I was surprised to even see him back on tv when he first started showing up again.

For a guy who talks so much about his kids and how much he loves them, etc. on twitter, being the dad who gets arrested for a pretty big DWI isn't very fatherly. I hope he can find a way to straighten his life out.

Hey you never know. Maybe the domestic dispute started him drinking more. Can go either way.

Hopefully, he's not on the same self-destructive path that caused 3 former pugilists to take their own lives last summer. Depression and such. Concussion issues. Please get some help, Matthew.

I think he played the rat role because he drinks and hits women, actually. Seems to me it's a psychological flaw. Probably what made him the player he was.

Let me guess, he drinks and hits women because he played the "enforcer" role in the NHL....

He didn't hit her - he tried to break into her house (which was probably his house) - so it is labeled a domestic incident. And if drinking is a character flaw, then we are all screwed.

Freaking Puritans.

I think he was at the Catwalk for Charity last night.

he tweeted at one point last night that he was at Jack Asters.......... didn't see the tweet but folks talking about it at the 'water cooler'

This was what I thought as well, didn't he kick in the garage door and scream alot, but nothing more?

Either way, I hope he gets help.

Yes - she wouldn't open the door, I think there was an allegation she had her new boy toy in his house. I'm sure he'd had a few. Who hasn't been there? Cops: Amherst, NY. Where the perps where ties!

thanks for bringing this thread back to reality for a minute. not that i condone drinking and driving, but i'm sure we've all known at least a couple people who have gotten DUI/DWIs -- doesn't make them bad people. doesn't even make them alcoholics. and it certainly doesn't mean they're going down some terrible of road of unavoidable self destruction and eventual suicide. jeez. ###### happens lol

Barnaby fired from ESPN and could potentially be deported http://prohockeytalk...ver-dwi-arrest/ I enjoyed his commentary on ESPN and TSN. I think it's sad, but man,he must've been blind drunk to drive without a front tire and not stop.

Not blind but prolly saying to himself "Just get home Just get home just get home" until he got pulled over.

Sad news.

Barnaby is obviously in a bad way these days.

It's too bad because he is an excellent TV guy and he's hurting his family as well.

Not a good situation.
