spndnchz Posted December 3, 2011 Report Posted December 3, 2011 What? Nobody wants to start the GDT anymore? Bunch of quitters. Fairly even teams going at it tonight. Will the Sabres step up?
Bullwinkle Posted December 3, 2011 Report Posted December 3, 2011 They have a habit of coming back after losing badly. I think I'll activate Enroth (or Miller) in my fantasy league for this one. At least I think they have a chance - not like tonight.
bunomatic Posted December 3, 2011 Report Posted December 3, 2011 Watched the preds beat the Canucks thursday night and it was a great game. Full of passion, desire, heart. The Sabres don't seem to have any of these qualities so I.M.O. they won't fare to well. And they are a battered defeated bunch right now. Chances are Gerbe won't be in. There goes that little sparkplug. Oi we are screwed. GO SABRES!
CallawaySabres Posted December 3, 2011 Report Posted December 3, 2011 When the Sabres play teams like Detroit and Philly, I am starting to feel like when the Bills play teams like Green Bay and New Orleans - no chance. Hopefully they can at least get a point out of tonight. The problem I see with this team is that when they do get their injured players back, it is not going to make much of a difference. I am putting all my eggs into the Miller basket for the rest of the season, closing my eyes and hoping for the best....
wjag Posted December 3, 2011 Report Posted December 3, 2011 Another game so soon, I'm not finished savoring last night's game yet...
deluca67 Posted December 3, 2011 Report Posted December 3, 2011 Are Sylvester and Gare doing the game? That would be too much to take. The Predators,Sylvester and Gare? I'll be a sleep before the 10 minute mark.
Samson's Flow Posted December 3, 2011 Report Posted December 3, 2011 DVR'ing the game tonight because I have a work party to go to tonight. It will be much easier to watch a Sabres game lately by fast forwarding to the end of the game. Not watching might be a blessing in disguise... Go Sabres?
2ForTripping Posted December 3, 2011 Report Posted December 3, 2011 Gnomeo & Juliet tonight with my daughter. waaaaaaay better than watching the Sabs
james duncan Posted December 3, 2011 Report Posted December 3, 2011 How long can Hecht keep up this torrid scoring pace? I really can't wait to see how he...oh who am I trying to kid? This is terrible.

spndnchz Posted December 3, 2011 Author Report Posted December 3, 2011 Tropp, Ellis playing tonight. Kaleta and Gerbe out. Miller in net tonight.
SwampD Posted December 3, 2011 Report Posted December 3, 2011 Tropp, Ellis playing tonight. Kaleta and Gerbe out. Miller in net tonight. Sabres win 6-2.
darksabre Posted December 3, 2011 Report Posted December 3, 2011 Gonna take the girlfriend skating tonight to let her try out the used hockey skates I got her last week. Since she possesses APTITUDE and SKILL I expect her to perform well. :D
Robviously Posted December 3, 2011 Report Posted December 3, 2011 Oh, God, another game??? I thought I'd need a month at least to come to terms with last night's disaster. It's like the NHL is mad at us.
deluca67 Posted December 3, 2011 Report Posted December 3, 2011 Yes they are. The Sabres need to put a warning at the beginning of the broadcast like video games do for epilepsy. Warning! Broadcast may cause Narcolepsy!
waldo Posted December 3, 2011 Report Posted December 3, 2011 Oh, God, another game??? I thought I'd need a month at least to come to terms with last night's disaster. It's like the NHL is mad at us. You can watch this one.. They win!
Wyldnwoody44 Posted December 3, 2011 Report Posted December 3, 2011 We always play 1 strong game when we have back to backs; I think well do OK tonight, but I still think we lose; seriously no one on our team can find a way to score a freaking goal; I hope we have some jump tonight, but I am just not getting too worked up this evening for a W; heres to hoping im wrong
qwksndmonster Posted December 3, 2011 Report Posted December 3, 2011 As the alternative is going to a high school-esque dance, I'll be watching the game tonight. If they look pathetic again, I hope they trade Miller. EDIT: Whoops, I meant Ruff. I've been using my time machine and I forgot which member of the organization we're burning this week.
Tyrannustyrannus Posted December 3, 2011 Report Posted December 3, 2011 I've been driving my wife crazy during games lately, so I'm going out to the Aud Club with friends. Hopefully a change of scenery will make this more bearable.
Rox11 Posted December 3, 2011 Report Posted December 3, 2011 Judging by these few posts - or lack of - I would think 90% of you will not watch the game. That's fine. There really are not too many 'blue & gold bleeders' around here. When Buffalo wins, that bandwagon is overflowing ... a loss means, bring up all of Rochester and it's time to dump Vanek, Stafford (ok, I do agree here), Miller ... When TPegs bought the team, the excitement was like none before. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the window of opportunity to bring in a Cup to Buffalo was in a few years. Yes, after a 2-0 start - when I gave my buddy $50 to put on Buffalo (in Vegas) to win it all and the odds were 5-1 - I couldn't talk up the POTENTIAL of Buffalo enough. The most frustrating part of this team - for me - is that they RARELY play a full game. If the talk of this team is still the same in late January, then the bitching should be forefront. Some changes should be made ... I'd be happy to get rid of Sekera and/or MAG, Stafford too. No excuses for this team but coming out so strong at the start - with the healthy lineup - obviously made a difference. One thing I'd like for Christmas is 2 weeks of that healthy lineup, to see who needs to go and what we'd need to get in return. The Sabres are the team that I'll watch even if they are even worse than the Bad News Bears, so when the time comes, people will know that I've been a loyal fan all the way through.
james duncan Posted December 3, 2011 Report Posted December 3, 2011 Miller doing an impersonation of a huge brick wall would help cure some of my angst about this season. That and a couple goals by any combination of Sabres. Come on guys.
pegs4mayor Posted December 3, 2011 Report Posted December 3, 2011 Hope to see an injection of anything. Solid d and miller coming back ready to silence his hecklers would make it a very nice Saturday night!

When Pegula bought the team he bought the entire team. Just like when you buy the Yankees you get the 27 Championships. Pegula bought the Sabres and the 40 years of no Stanley Cups. He bought and decided to retain 13 years of failures in Regier and Ruff. You can't blame fans. This team is no different than any other recent incarnation. If fans are becoming disinterested that lies on the Sabres and no one else.
