K-9 Posted December 3, 2011 Report Posted December 3, 2011 Good work by Kassian. Hope it gets rewarded. GO SABRES!!!
kishoph Posted December 3, 2011 Report Posted December 3, 2011 LEINO standing behind the net just watching KASSIAN.
darksabre Posted December 3, 2011 Report Posted December 3, 2011 Regretting not starting Howard right now...
Robviously Posted December 3, 2011 Report Posted December 3, 2011 and our stars would be? Pominville and Vanek are both averaging over a point a game. Derek Roy is proven but still coming back from his leg injury. Stafford is.....Stafford (honestly, I was pretty interested in dealing him last year when he was doing the "career year in a contract year" thing).
kishoph Posted December 3, 2011 Report Posted December 3, 2011 They really need to score on this PP. Let's Go SABRES.
K-9 Posted December 3, 2011 Report Posted December 3, 2011 Thomas Vanek is good at hockey. Yeah, that was a nice feed to Pommer down low and he almost scored on the rebound from a tough angle. GO SABRES!!!
... Posted December 3, 2011 Report Posted December 3, 2011 Derek Roy is proven but still coming back from his leg injury. Really? How long are you going to give Roy that pass. The problem lies with the "intangibles", and Roy is among the worst offenders here.
CallawaySabres Posted December 3, 2011 Report Posted December 3, 2011 Please put miller in, enroth is a bum, I'm sick of watching him play 10 games in a row and choking. A team needs a goalie that can bail them out at slow starts, we need miller now! And just like that, the legend of Enroth goes "poof" - cut to final scene of Usual Suspects. Actually, that might not be a bad movie title for this team - starring Dreeeeewww Stafford as Kaiser Soze. Once again, this team can't finish anything that resembles a scoring chance. Nice Miss there Drew as I type.... Enroth is NOT the problem
deluca67 Posted December 3, 2011 Report Posted December 3, 2011 Really? How long are you going to give Roy that pass. The problem lies with the "intangibles", and Roy is among the worst offenders here. He's been "injured" longer than 'Cowboy' Bob Orton.
DumbPuck Posted December 3, 2011 Report Posted December 3, 2011 It's silly how much of this message board's conversation hs been occupied with discussion about Miller and Enroth when the fact is we have two solid goaltenders .... they are the least of our problems. This game is truly exposing that.
Marine0369 Posted December 3, 2011 Report Posted December 3, 2011 I'm enjoying the game for a couple of reasons. I live in cali so it is a reminder of home in WNY. Also I am a big Sabres as all of you are. Finally, the last few losses the Sabres have had put a spot light on what I think the problems are. Feel free to get to get pissed. Our top scorers are streaky at best. Our current captain does not seem to inspire (motivate) his teammates. Only one talented offensive threat (Vanek/streaky). Relationship between coach and core has become too familiar (unable to shake players). Team management is very poor. Over a quarter into the season and the in game line juggling is more prevalent than the established lines. All around player performance in Buffalo has a history of dropping once a new contract has been signed by the player. I believe this goes back to not establishing a consistency in both retention of deserving players and releasing of scumbags like TIMMY C. And why is MAG up here instead of Morrison? He is not physical and has below NHL talent. Anyone who uses his 6 playoff points last year as the main reason needs to understand a blind squirrel gets a nut sometimes.
kishoph Posted December 3, 2011 Report Posted December 3, 2011 The play at the point has got to improve, it's a real weakness on the PP.
... Posted December 3, 2011 Report Posted December 3, 2011 Nothing would please me more than the Sabres coming back and winning this game. Just sayin'.
lalalalalaFontaine Posted December 3, 2011 Report Posted December 3, 2011 we're overdue for a shorty against...
waldo Posted December 3, 2011 Report Posted December 3, 2011 I like to watch Detroit. But not when they play the Sabres. It is like watching a one armed man trying to fend off a hive of angry bees.
Robviously Posted December 3, 2011 Report Posted December 3, 2011 Really? How long are you going to give Roy that pass. The problem lies with the "intangibles", and Roy is among the worst offenders here. I didn't expect him to be back to where he was when he got injured last December until probably the midway point of this season. That's a serious leg injury with a ton of rehab.
deluca67 Posted December 3, 2011 Report Posted December 3, 2011 Why is Leino getting power-play time? Lindy should put out 5 d-men before letting Leino get that time.
Wyldnwoody44 Posted December 3, 2011 Report Posted December 3, 2011 This may be one of the most hideous games I've seen in a while. Terrible, no offense at all, poor special teams, and ruff is still standing behind the players, it's not even worth 3 hours of time
deluca67 Posted December 3, 2011 Report Posted December 3, 2011 I like to watch Detroit. But not when they play the Sabres. It is like watching a one armed man trying to fend off a hive of angry bees. If you have a link to a video of this you really need to post it.
