LINDY just said in his post game that they were on in their passing, I think he must of been watching a different game.

Off topic and I'm sure it's been asked before, but why do you capitalize every name that you type in a post?

Watching the game I was thinking throughout that this is the type of game the Islanders end up losing.

It could have been. Both teams had some great opportunities and didn't cash in.

Every time I see it I am tempted to reply like this.....

I'M PRETTY SURE lindy JUST MISSPOKE AND MEANT TO SAY THAT erhoff WAS OFF HIS GAME AND gragnani WAS HAVING TROUBLE FINDING THE MARK TOO.

I liked Leino at the start of the season when he was simply invisible. Now he's just a detriment to this team. Anybody wish we had Connolly back?

I don't know man. The hand has already been dealt.

Roy and Gerbe together don't work for me. They both get pushed off the puck too easily. It seems obvious tht the chem has never been there between those two but lunkhead Lindy keeps insisting on forcing things. . I'm not sure what's wrong, why the Sabres can't put the puck in the net with any regularity, but to me, it's time to BUST UP the good 'ole boy network, with the former players who are in charge. I'd be ecstatic if they canned Ruff and Regier together soon. They don't push the right buttons anymore.

I'm not fond of that pairing either but to make matters worse they were playing as a duo on most rushes up ice. Kassian could NOT keep up with them at all. He was always trailing those two.

Just woke up from a nap after a hard day of work. Got a nice cold beer in hand, the game on TV and the girlfriend on the way with a wegmans pizza. I'm ready for an old fashioned thumping. Score early, and score often. :pirate:

Go get her, slugger.

It just makes me say the name like I'm yelling it when I read it in my head.

Lindy sounds like he's calling in football bets in the back room of a wake.

Loved him in Caddyshack.

You're like butter.....on a roll tonight.

What a bunch of cryers, whimperers, and whiners. The Sabres farm team outplayed a team for three periods, played solid hockey, and the bounces weren't there. That happens. It's a LONG season, and that happens.

Fixed it

The Sabres offense is simply not aggressive enough in the zone. It's like they make a play and expect it to be the only chance they get and are ready to backcheck. There were few good hits by the top 6. A lot of them gave up on the play too early.

On the missed Leino opportunity - that happened right in front of me. If Leino wasn't expecting that feed, he shouldn't be in the NHL. He had a clear look at MAGs, and the net was wide open. You know what happened? He dug the tip of his short-ass stick's blade into the ice and tripped over it.

He also chirps a lot at the refs. A LOT.

Something else I thought was interesting - at the start of the 5-on-3, they were trying a set play. It worked, twice, but the tip into the net just wasn't there. Then the crowd got really loud, yelling, screaming "shoot! shoot!" and that's what they did - panicked. Instead of trying to make the play work, they abandoned any disciplined play and just shot willy-nilly. I think, perhaps, for PPs, they need to ask the crowd to be silent, so they can concentrate on the play.

Well, that game sucked;

--Officiating was horendous, on both sides

--Leino, needs to sit; Its nice seeing him twirl around with the puck for an hour; but we have other players that do that; its time !these guys start finishing or sitting

--I dont understand how we just cannot seem to get quality shots through; there were several times tonight where we could have taken a shot and at the very minimum got a juicy rebound; but instead passed it away, missed the net, or shot into the pads of a defender. The term "too fancy" was all to evident tonight.

--2 losses to basement teams in the last week is just unacceptable, especially when we are completely sucking at home

--Lastly, I think its time to move our coach; why not? other teams are; If you cant win it all after what 15? years with the same team, then Im sorry but its probably not going to happen. Coaches that have won previous championships get fired/moved for less that this. I know its been a recurring theme here; but I mean cmon, the blame HAS to lie somewhere and when you become a coach, you take that blame.

--We have a tough stretch coming up in the next week; let see how the boys do; but Im starting to worry about our team here at the 1/4 of the season.
