Well, it would be after dinner or a movie but *NOT* until after you've cleaned out whatever is irritating your nether regions today.

That's up to the mods, or even better, to whatever board from whence they came, reopening.

Nah, that's not the mods' job. It's ours, to combat idiocy. (I promised a friend who works with special needs kids that I wouldn't use the R word anymore. This thread is testing me.)

Just like the Sabres, no appreciation for grit.

Full marks on this one. You may go to the head of the class.

I was going to try and post something positive about Columbus but their really isn't anything. Even with the win tonight they will be 1 point out of dead last in the league with the dead last Islanders having two games in hand.

One goal against the worst defensive team in the league is pretty friggin' sad.

I would like to know what getting rid of Darcy will do for the product on the ice in the near term. Will another GM be able to scare up worthwhile trades on a dime?

What makes anyone think this will suddenly become a "team" after a trade or two if the coaching remains the same?

I have always had little respect for DR and would be glad to see him get the boot, but right now the roster has more than enough talent to play far better than this Sabres team plays.

Sorry dude. If anyone deserves modding tonight it's you. Noone else has gone the personal attack route but you. Their posts may lack substance, but they didn't deserve personal attack.

The team on the ice tonight..... them sumbritches deserve personal attack. What a lousy showing. Other than one play, Leopold's play has been ugly, sam with MAG and Sekera. And there is absolutely no energy evident tonight. Even Gerbe seems subdued. Overdose of turkey and stuffing maybe? Tryptophan still in their bloodstream?

The NHL can be a tough road to travel. Injuries are not helping the cause. Tyler Myers' injury will be tough to overcome. Miller will hopefully play well when he gets back but the defense is vital to any team's success.

If it accomplishes anything it would be making the players uncomfortable.

I think the "talent" on this roster is over-exaggerated. Break the team down player by player and then tell me how talented they are. Hecht playing center on the #1 line is really all you need to know. Where is Adam? Why is he not on the #1 line? Was the #1 line producing too many points?

Careful, or you will told that Tryptophan's effects are highly overstated, and that only stupid people believe in that.

Or something to that effect.

And yet, I'm ok with everything I've written. I'm breathing fresh air deeply for the first time in a bit. It feels nice to say what one wants once in a while. And I am very much ok with taking a couple of random shots in the probably hopeless hope that SS does not become TBD.

I'm also ok with your criticisms of the team.

1) It will take them a couple games to get back all that energy they exerted in the first period against Boston

2) Columbus has been playing well so it was to be expected

3) Enroth is getting tired from no rest so not his fault

4) It's the day after Thanksgiving and it's tough to travel after a holiday

Nope. All wrong. This is what the Sabres should've done tonight:

1)Play

2)Some

3)F*cking

4)Hockey

EDIT: And DeLuca, that was hilarious.

This team has clearly taken a step back. I want to reserve judgement till they get some starters back in the lineup but we've already had a quarter of the season to decide what we have and what we're missing. There's plenty of blame to go around. For starters when you have an owner that is involved in the player acquisitions that is problem #1. This is what I'll call the Wang conundrum. Problem #2 is one not everyone will agree with based on the many discussions we've had in the past but aside from a couple of good trades a decade ago and some good drafting and player development, I'm just not so sure Regier is the guy you want building your championship team for you. As I've said before he's had um what,14 years to accomplish that goal? To be fair he did have some financial constraints but they've been lifted and based on early returns he and tpegs haven't done too good. Does the poor record fall on Ruff who has also been around longer than lake Erie? I'm not sure. I like Ruff as a coach and he's respected around the league but does that bring you the cup? Not so far. So Ruff is potentially problem #3. The fourth problem is the core group who it seems attended preschool together. At what point do you as an organization say maybe this is just the wrong group of guys to build around? As high as the expectations were coming into this season I believe we were all in for somewhat of a letdown. Maybe we're sitting right where we should be. Maybe we really are this inconsistent and we're seeing the best these guys can do. I hope thats not the case and these guys can turn it around but I am losing faith. Fukc I'm pissed. GO SABRES!

Maybe so, if Miller wasn't so far out of his crease Lucic wouldn't have had the opportunity to expose the Sabres like he did.

You are kidding, right? I mean, you do realize that that's what a goalie does when a breakaway opponent loses the puck!

You're pissed, I doubt the players feel the same way.

I'll bet they beat the hell out of DC tomorrow after this one. This sucked, they know it, and they'll come back at it.

Smooch.
