spndnchz Posted November 29, 2011 Author Report Posted November 29, 2011 Can the thread title please be edited to reflect those that are still injured? Thx. :) Not sure if they are ready to go yet. Szczechura got called back up today so I'm assuming either Kaleta or Stafford is not ready.
Ghost of Dwight Drane Posted November 29, 2011 Report Posted November 29, 2011 Not sure if they are ready to go yet. Szczechura got called back up today so I'm assuming either Kaleta or Stafford is not ready. That's it....I'm going to the game. Maybe I'll wear a Chewey mask?
Marvelo Posted November 29, 2011 Report Posted November 29, 2011 That's exactly what I mean, maybe it wasn't well-put originally. Ellis has all the heart in the world, and it's not enough to overcome his relative* lack of talent, and that's what sux, because he's the type of guy that everyone (including me) wants to root for. What is it about the Sabres coveting ex-Red Wings that never made it there? (Leino, Ellis) Red Wing envy.
Eleven Posted November 30, 2011 Report Posted November 30, 2011 What is it about the Sabres coveting ex-Red Wings that never made it there? (Leino, Ellis) Red Wing envy. It's anti-disestablishment-Sheppardism.
RazielSabre Posted November 30, 2011 Report Posted November 30, 2011 I'd keep Chewy and Tropp over Ellis at this stage.
Weave Posted November 30, 2011 Report Posted November 30, 2011 So..... do we add Leopold to the title now?
thesportsbuff Posted November 30, 2011 Report Posted November 30, 2011 I imagine that means we see TJ Brennan again? Or maybe someone else gets a shot now?
RazielSabre Posted November 30, 2011 Report Posted November 30, 2011 So..... do we add Leopold to the title now? When do we put in who's not injured instead? might make a shorter list lol.
DumbPuck Posted November 30, 2011 Report Posted November 30, 2011 When do we put in who's not injured instead? might make a shorter list lol. :clapping:
Samson's Flow Posted November 30, 2011 Report Posted November 30, 2011 I imagine that means we see TJ Brennan again? Or maybe someone else gets a shot now? I thought T.J. looked pretty comfortable in his first call up. Wouldn't mind if he got another look. Although Ehrhoff probably thinks he can take all the ice time and play with 5 dmen :nana:
biodork Posted November 30, 2011 Report Posted November 30, 2011 From Twitter: BNHarrington No Leopold, Kaleta or Szczechura (likely cap) at #Sabres practice today. Miller and Ennis appear full go.
biodork Posted November 30, 2011 Report Posted November 30, 2011 Groin injuries for both Kaleta and Stafford... guess Kaleta's must be worse since Drew came back last night. Patrick Kaleta took the morning skate but his groin injury still prevented him from playing. The Sabres recalled Paul Szczechura from Rochester and he played in his second straight game. Drew Stafford (groin) joined Regehr in returning to the lineup after a one-game absence. Ruff said goaltender Ryan Miller should participate fully in practice today. Cody McCormick skated in the morning with his team for the first time and Ruff said he will then progress to getting involved in contact. http://www.buffalonews.com/sports/sabres-nhl/article653606.ece

spndnchz Posted November 30, 2011 Author Report Posted November 30, 2011 I blame chz. I blame Doug McKenney.
spndnchz Posted November 30, 2011 Author Report Posted November 30, 2011 So..... do we add Leopold to the title now? Leopold's out for the weekend. Boyes out at least 3 weeks with high ankle sprain.
That Aud Smell Posted November 30, 2011 Report Posted November 30, 2011 Boyes out at least 3 weeks with high ankle sprain. linkel.
spndnchz Posted December 1, 2011 Author Report Posted December 1, 2011 McIntyre sent back down. Looks like Miller could start a game this weekend.
qwksndmonster Posted December 1, 2011 Report Posted December 1, 2011 Glad to hear that Miller's back, and I hope Ennis comes out looking like he did last year.
spndnchz Posted December 3, 2011 Author Report Posted December 3, 2011 Kaleta back in, Kaleta back out. Plus one Mighty Smurf.
spndnchz Posted December 3, 2011 Author Report Posted December 3, 2011 Ouch. 42 stitches? http://video.thescore.com/watch/gerbe-takes-skate-to-face
bunomatic Posted December 3, 2011 Report Posted December 3, 2011 Ouch. 42 stitches? http://video.thescore.com/watch/gerbe-takes-skate-to-face OUCH! The legend of Gerbe grows as we speak. The kid has the heart of a lion and the courage of a warrior and now he will look like one. Hope he's back soon because his determination is needed regardless if it shows on the scoresheet. He'll get his stats if he keeps working. Hang in there Nathan.
shrader Posted December 5, 2011 Report Posted December 5, 2011 Originally I was thinking that Gerbe's height was a big issue with that whole thing with the skate. Now I'm actually thinking that his lack of height may have actually been a good thing there. We're looking at another Zednik incident if he actually has human height.
korab rules Posted December 5, 2011 Report Posted December 5, 2011 Any pictures of the damage? Good thing for Gerbe chicks dig scars.
FolignosJock Posted December 5, 2011 Report Posted December 5, 2011 I def wanna see what gerbe looks like all stitched up
