Claude_Verret Posted January 16, 2012 Report Posted January 16, 2012 I see that Leopold is fighting the flu ... don't these guys get flu shots before the season starts ? Unless they have an egg allergy I'm sure they all do, but getting the shot still doesn't guarantee that you won't get the flu.
spndnchz Posted January 16, 2012 Author Report Posted January 16, 2012 Sekera has a busted rib and probably wont be ready. He's struggling with it. He's out practicing in a contact jersey. I hope he plays. We need someone better on D tonight.
spndnchz Posted January 19, 2012 Author Report Posted January 19, 2012 Gaustad out from hit against Chicago.
spndnchz Posted January 20, 2012 Author Report Posted January 20, 2012 Lindy saying today that Ennis might sit out the rest of the year. With the Sabres were they are right now, may not be worth pushing him.
dEnnis the Menace Posted January 20, 2012 Report Posted January 20, 2012 Lindy saying today that Ennis might sit out the rest of the year. With the Sabres were they are right now, may not be worth pushing him. seriously? ugh :( :(
LabattBlue Posted January 20, 2012 Report Posted January 20, 2012 Lindy saying today that Ennis might sit out the rest of the year. With the Sabres were they are right now, may not be worth pushing him. WOW! That is one heck of a sprained ankle!
nfreeman Posted January 20, 2012 Report Posted January 20, 2012 Lindy saying today that Ennis might sit out the rest of the year. With the Sabres were they are right now, may not be worth pushing him. That stinks. They are dying for some zip on offense. OTOH, it will reduce his cost on his RFA contract this summer.
spndnchz Posted January 20, 2012 Author Report Posted January 20, 2012 WOW! That is one heck of a sprained ankle! A definite high ankle sprain they thought he recovered from. At practice he caught a grove and f'ed it up all over again. He is skating but won't be effective.
Ghost of Dwight Drane Posted January 20, 2012 Report Posted January 20, 2012 WOW! That is one heck of a sprained ankle! And how do you resprain it getting hit with a puck? There has to be bone or bloodflow issues here. Then again does anything surprise you anymore?
spndnchz Posted January 20, 2012 Author Report Posted January 20, 2012 And how do you resprain it getting hit with a puck? There has to be bone or bloodflow issues here. Then again does anything surprise you anymore? It wasn't a puck.
Ghost of Dwight Drane Posted January 20, 2012 Report Posted January 20, 2012 It wasn't a puck. Not at practice......He did it first crashing into the net, then when he came back it was a game....he was fine until he took a puck to the foot and went off. Then again in practice like you said. It doesn't add up that a puck hitting him would affect a sprain.....and him being out 3-4 months doesn't add up if in fact they are shelving him for the year.
Iron Crotch Posted January 23, 2012 Report Posted January 23, 2012 Ehrhoff back tomorrow. Ennis is cleared for full contact, no? Any chance he'll play tomorrow? Also, Brad Boyes not on the ice (per SabresBuzz)? Sick supposedly.... Rumors, rumors, rumors...
Eleven Posted January 23, 2012 Report Posted January 23, 2012 Ennis is cleared for full contact, no? Any chance he'll play tomorrow? Also, Brad Boyes not on the ice (per SabresBuzz)? Sick supposedly.... Rumors, rumors, rumors... Gaustad, Regehr, Ennis all out tomorrow per Bill Hoppe.
spndnchz Posted January 25, 2012 Author Report Posted January 25, 2012 Lindy on Hecht "emotionally he was really unstable". That's not good.
SDS Posted January 25, 2012 Report Posted January 25, 2012 Lindy on Hecht "emotionally he was really unstable". I just want to be held?
Bmwolf21 Posted January 25, 2012 Report Posted January 25, 2012 Lindy on Hecht "emotionally he was really unstable". That's not good. Whaaaaaat? I missed all that. Elaborate?
billsrcursed Posted January 25, 2012 Report Posted January 25, 2012 Shouldn't the whole team be emotionally unstable? I mean, everyone's laughing at them...
Knightrider Posted January 25, 2012 Report Posted January 25, 2012 I suspect Hecht is done... That is a tough way to go. He deserved better.
shrader Posted January 25, 2012 Report Posted January 25, 2012 I missed this as well. I got home pretty late tonight. What's the story here?
TrueBlueGED Posted January 25, 2012 Report Posted January 25, 2012 I suspect Hecht is done... That is a tough way to go. He deserved better. If he actually suffered a 3rd concussion this season...or even if the symptoms magically re-appeared, I'd certainly hope he just hangs it up. At some point guys just need to be smart and realize concussions aren't like having a bad knee or aching joints later in life, it's a whole different animal. The story a week or so ago on Marc Savard's continuing struggles was just sad.
Knightrider Posted January 25, 2012 Report Posted January 25, 2012 Hamilton said he got hit hard in the Blues game, but was fine until today...
Who Else? Posted January 25, 2012 Report Posted January 25, 2012 I suspect Hecht is done... That is a tough way to go. He deserved better. Not to be crass about it, but I think he would have been an easy trade at the deadline, and would have gotten a big return. Why not lie about the symptoms like eveyone else. How long did it take for them to admit McNabbs or Tropps concussion. If he does recover enough to play, his value just plummeted.
IKnowPhysics Posted January 25, 2012 Report Posted January 25, 2012 Not to be crass about it, ... Why not lie about the symptoms like eveyone else. Hard to disconnect those two. Could be a bad time for Hecht to be a UFA. Hopefully he recovers quickly. And looking at Capgeek it's hard to see the team being able to finish the season without putting someone on LTIR or making a trade to make cap room for more call ups.
darksabre Posted January 25, 2012 Report Posted January 25, 2012 Lindy on Hecht "emotionally he was really unstable". That's not good. Emotionally unstable as a result of concussion symptoms. That's bad, real bad.
