Sabre fan Posted November 11, 2011 Report Posted November 11, 2011 Here we are well into the start of the 2011/12 NHL season, and it sure has been a strange start! We have the Leafs, of all teams, winning on a regular basis, with Phil Kessel leading the entire league in scoring! That in itself is strange! But many other teams, such as Florida have started well, and everyone in the Sabres' conference seemingly are playing well, and have points to show for it. Fact is, Florida is ahead of Washington in their division, and we have New Jersey playing well. The Oilers, with their young guns, are playing very well. And Dallas, who many predicted would stumble badly after losing Richards, are playing very well. Meanwhile we have Tampa Bay, of all teams, playing a pathetic and boring system putting just about everybody to sleep. As for our beloved Sabres, they have not played all that well thus far, but have won more then they've lost, and things can only get better! Other then Pominville and Vanek, no one has excelled to this point. We certainly can expect better things from the team, but individually and as a team. Any other surprises thus far? What players and teams do you expect to see better, or worse from in the months ahead?
spndnchz Posted November 11, 2011 Report Posted November 11, 2011 Columbus can't get much worse. Only 5 points so far.
wjag Posted November 11, 2011 Report Posted November 11, 2011 Columbus can't get much worse. Only 5 points so far. My preseason prediction was the Columbus would make the playoffs. I'm a genius! :clapping:
Sabre fan Posted November 11, 2011 Author Report Posted November 11, 2011 Long ways to go, but the Jackets are really diggin' a big hole for themselves
