papazoid Posted November 12, 2011 Report Posted November 12, 2011 Stafford is starting to use his size again and what a big difference in that lines play of late. Will be interesting what Lindy does when Ennis and Kaleta are both back at this point i'm not touching the top two lines: vanek/adam/Pomminstein leino/roy/stafford i would NOT put Kaleta back in with Gaustad & Gerbe. i would find a spot for ennis. keep Tropp in the lineup. right now almost all the forwards are playing well.....but i would sit ellis, mccormick & kaleta.
papazoid Posted November 12, 2011 Report Posted November 12, 2011 i'd say it's lock that Miller gets the start tommorrow.
... Posted November 12, 2011 Report Posted November 12, 2011 I agree with Brian on WGR - if Lindy doesn't start Miller, he may risk the chance of "losing him" for a while. I bet that if there was a schedule in place, right now they're considering whether they should stick with the schedule.
deluca67 Posted November 12, 2011 Report Posted November 12, 2011 i'd say it's lock that Miller gets the start tommorrow. Why?
... Posted November 12, 2011 Report Posted November 12, 2011 Where is Miller's head at? Did you see the shot of him sitting on the bench staring out into space with the sour-puss look on his face? I didn't like the looks of that.
HopefulFuture Posted November 12, 2011 Report Posted November 12, 2011 Why? I'm asking the same thing. Personally, if I'm Lindy, I'm far more concerned about Miller getting shell shocked against Boston, especially when they start going to the "Bombs Away" campaign with Chara from the point. Miller, being as fragile as he apparantly is right now mentally may totally lose it if he has to get the hook against Boston. I'd wait to start him against some weaker opponents to get his confidence back up slowly with minimal risk.
samothyev Posted November 12, 2011 Report Posted November 12, 2011 So if the Sabres only existence is to win the Stanley Cup then they should go with the hot hand and play Enroth. Miller got his spot doing the same thing to Biron if I recall correctly.

I don't think he is happy with the situation, and as the season progresses, it may or may not be a problem. It's just to early to tell right now.
wjag Posted November 12, 2011 Report Posted November 12, 2011 Nice to see them taking care of business in the Division. Boston up next and then Montreal... I want, no I demand, a sweep...
... Posted November 12, 2011 Report Posted November 12, 2011 Boo. Lindy just said he's sending Tropp back down. Bad move, IMHO.
HopefulFuture Posted November 12, 2011 Report Posted November 12, 2011 Tropp out, Kaleta back in....per Lindy's post game
HopefulFuture Posted November 12, 2011 Report Posted November 12, 2011 :nana: I said it first! :worthy: ;)
HopefulFuture Posted November 12, 2011 Report Posted November 12, 2011 So, do I throw caution to the wind and start my Miller vs Enroth; part duex thread up? Or is it too early yet?
wjag Posted November 12, 2011 Report Posted November 12, 2011 Looks like Ville is going to be awarded the goal. At least that is what NHL.com has at the moment..

wjag Posted November 12, 2011 Report Posted November 12, 2011 11 Sabres pointed in this game... All five goals scored in or near the crease... Boys were crashing the net tonight.
bunomatic Posted November 12, 2011 Report Posted November 12, 2011 Great game (pause) if it wasn't (pause) for my stream (pause) friggin (pause) pausing every friggin (pause) 15 or 20 (pause) seconds.
LGR4GM Posted November 12, 2011 Report Posted November 12, 2011 the good: Roy, stafford, and Leino all played well tonight and each contributed points. Great job by them and I hope they continue to roll Vanek, Pommers, Adam all did well tonight although i would like to see a little more out of Adam, he is doing ok but I would just like to see more. the bad: 37 shots against even if they are from the outside primarily is bad. Our defense still is not shutting down the zone the way they need too but at least tonight they did make it hard to play against. I still think they lack toughness and yes I am sorry to bring this up but MAG and Sekera were once again unimpressive. the ugly: Tyler Myers game. He wasn't terrible tonight but considering he is supposed to be a future Norris candidate I expect more from him. A lot more. He has not been a dominate force and thats a problem. Myers needs to find his game. He needs to be that guy late in games who we turn too and he hasnt been.
Andrew Amerk Posted November 12, 2011 Report Posted November 12, 2011 -nice to see the 9-21-23 line get going well tonight -Enroth 12-0-1 in his last 13 -Sabres 10-5 now!!! -when will Myers get going?
JJFIVEOH Posted November 12, 2011 Report Posted November 12, 2011 I agree with Brian on WGR - if Lindy doesn't start Miller, he may risk the chance of "losing him" for a while. I bet that if there was a schedule in place, right now they're considering whether they should stick with the schedule. I don't agree. It's a coaches job to do whatever he thinks will give his team the best chance of winning. It's not his job to do whatever it takes to hurt somebody's feelings so they don't go pout and sulk in the corner. These guys are supposed to be professionals..... if he "loses" Miller because he's not playing enough well then Miller isn't a professional. These guys get paid big $$$ to do what's best for the team. It's an 82 game season, Enroth will not go undefeated so Miller will get his chance. That chance isn't right now though.
bob_sauve28 Posted November 12, 2011 Report Posted November 12, 2011 Looks like Ville is going to be awarded the goal. At least that is what NHL.com has at the moment.. He tipped it in as he was skating by
Marvelo Posted November 12, 2011 Report Posted November 12, 2011 myers better start practicing his aim from the point, if he hasn't already. He very well might have Zhitnik-itis.
