darksabre Posted October 30, 2011 Report Posted October 30, 2011 If I was Lindy, I'd be marching everyone except Regehr, McCormick, Ellis, and Gerbe, right back out on the ice when the Zambonis are done. What a piss poor effort.
87168 Posted October 30, 2011 Report Posted October 30, 2011 Statistically, their home game record isn't terriby bad. That is if you look strictly at the numbers. I don't know what you're complaining about. Their home effort over the long term is...okay. You can't say "another" because, you know, the numbers say otherwise. Apparently. Looking at it from the beginning of the 11/12 season i think it's ok for the word "another" to be used. We are 1-3 at home. The only win we have at home came with Enroth in net.
Snowmobiler97 Posted October 30, 2011 Report Posted October 30, 2011 This team is very indisciplined. Stafford had to retaliate, and gerbe had to complain. They cost us the game.
kishoph Posted October 30, 2011 Report Posted October 30, 2011 The outcome would of been totally different if GERBE didn't receive that BS penalty and then to add an unsportsmanlike to it is just ridiculous. I like what STAFFORD did, even if he did get penalized for it.

Are you saying that recent data points lead to alternate conclusions?

What a piss poor effort. Dude,.. Really? It was 2-1 sabres and should have been 3-1 with four minutes left. Any way you slice it, the game was handed to FL.
Marvelo Posted October 30, 2011 Report Posted October 30, 2011 hahahahaha well he better make centerfold. seems like Ryan isn't locating the puck behind the net and from the point. what's up with that?
zow2 Posted October 30, 2011 Report Posted October 30, 2011 I'm readjusting my expectations. i think Fla and Columbus dominated them at home. I don't think the the Sabres are nearly as good as i thought they'd be. Where's this puck possession team? I'll also add once again that Enroth should be playing the home games right now. Miller is just not as focused at home this year...he's very good on the road.
87168 Posted October 30, 2011 Report Posted October 30, 2011 Watching the post game and I'm still in awe as to why Miller was just lying there on FLA's 2nd goal. He made the initial save but he seriously just laid there and watched the puck go from behind the net to inside of the net. If Terrell Owens played hockey that would be a TO thing to do.
... Posted October 30, 2011 Report Posted October 30, 2011 I blame the fans. If the fans were having more fun, and being more raucous, the Sabres would have won.

D4rkSabre has a point, I mean with the amount of talent and HIGH expectations that the ownership and FANS have for this team this season there is no excuse for them to even be in this situation. Very very few player are consistent. Boyes has stepped it up drastically. Vanek is Vanek, Pommers is Pommer. Gerbe is always skating. Ellis out worked the majority of the team. If it werent for his head being so deep in the game FLA would have had another goal. Roy is still getting over a season ending injury and played harder then most of the team. Fanning of the pucks, missed passes, few shots on goal. Something needs to be done if this team expects to make some noise in this conference, or in the league in general.

Snowmobiler97 Posted October 30, 2011 Report Posted October 30, 2011 this...... OFFICIATING IS A JOKE!!!!!!!!!!! :wallbash: Who ever does the officiating this year for the sabres at home is terrible.
... Posted October 30, 2011 Report Posted October 30, 2011 On that replay, it's CLEAR the "kicking motion" came well after the puck was deflected.
... Posted October 30, 2011 Report Posted October 30, 2011 But their digs are really nice now. That's all that matters. And the food is "improved" at the arena. The Sabres are on a roll!
Eleven Posted October 30, 2011 Report Posted October 30, 2011 I want the original forward lines from Europe back right now. I don't care if Leino thinks he's a wing, a center, Batman, whatever. Just put it back. On D, I want Weber in. Enough is enough. Get the tuff (again, credit to SE Hinton) kid in there. I don't care if it's MAG or Sekera who sits, but I want Weber in NOW.
... Posted October 30, 2011 Report Posted October 30, 2011 OMG. Pommers, I feel really bad for you. You've said the same thing for years. Only difference is that you're the captain now.
LGR4GM Posted October 30, 2011 Report Posted October 30, 2011 missed the game sounds like it was awful... Time for Weber to return though from the highlights I saw.
SabresMojo Posted October 30, 2011 Report Posted October 30, 2011 Ive said this for about a week; Miller is slowly skating to his hot seat. I think that Enroth should start by the middle November. That is IF and ONLY IF Miller doesnt IMPROVE.

Handed to them by Buffalo maybe. 8 shots through the first? Are we just not playing that period? Everyone was so rested from that optional skate, so where were their legs? Too many players reaching at pucks instead of skating, very few checks were finished, and puck battles weren't being won. Blame the refs if you want, but the effort left a lot to be desired. Matt Ellis was noticeably more into the game than anyone else. It was embarrassing.

87168 Posted October 30, 2011 Report Posted October 30, 2011 Lindy is clearly pissed. Sad thing is that we have the talent. I don't think that can be disputed. We just aren't playing the way we should be playing. Ellis clearly deserved to win the Play of the Game.

... Posted October 30, 2011 Report Posted October 30, 2011 The Sabres postgame show is lame and pathetic. I agree with d4rksabre, if the opposite were true, they'd have more goals than 2.
