This is the one situation i can't stand. Being in the Jackets market, I have absolutely no choice but to watch it on FSN Ohio. Now with 100% less Danny Gare.

Win. At all costs. This is a must win home game from a fan sanity standpoint. Unless they close all the bridges and office buildings within 50 miles of FNC, a loss could probably end up with the team being prosecuted for manslaughter.

I hope so!

I don't care who's in net, let's just get the win because I don't think this board can handle another loss. I mean the yellowsnow poster was selling off his tickets because we (gasp) lost two games in a row. What will happen if we lose a third?

In all seriousness, let's get back on track with a convincing win tonight. I'm feeling good about tonight and I think it will be a nice bounce back game. My prediction: Miller gets the start and Weber is in the press box again(not my opinion, just my prediction)

I think you have your snowpeople confused.

I've paid for center ice but for some reason they can't get it to activate on my cable box. So unless a miracle happens, I won't be watching today. All of this falls on a thursday, which seems very appropriate.

Maybe you will get lucky and it will work so you can have a F'n Fantastic Friday.

Shhhhh, he might be reading this thread.

Anyway, this is great timing for an opponent like Columbus. They need to bounce back and this is a team where they SHOULD do exactly that. If they screw that up though, I think it is officially time to tear down the new locker room.

This is the type of team that in the past the sabres have not beat because either they don't take bottom feeders seriously or they have the worst luck in the NHL. I expect the only change in the lineup tonight might be Enroth although they may hold off on that til Saturday. The new defensive pairings from last game looked a little more cohesive so lets see how they do against a team with really only a couple of big scoring threats. The power play will need to find its groove and tonights game would be a great time for that. It is about time to own a team in your building and although another home loss this early "doesnt mean anything" I'm beginning to wonder when these losses at home will mean something. My Line to watch tonight is Leino-Roy-Stafford, they need to do something offensive for the love of god. My player to watch tonight is Gerbe who has the best work ethic on the team.

As hopeful for the future as I am for this team, I don't think they pull out a win tonight.

Not being a negative nancy here, just an opinion based on their play to date.

They'll need time to gel as a unit with the new folks and Lindy will need time to configure the best line combinations, not something that normally happens in the preseason. It will take a bit, but, I am hopeful they'll pull out the victory tonight, just not expecting it given the growing pains the squad is currently going through.

I still predict them to be a venible playoff contender, just not a cup contender this season.

This kicks off five games where I'd like to see all of the lines develop continuity and flow and the PP start to click. I'd also hope to see the D really step up. I hope to get a look at Weber in the lienup. Looks to be a favorable schedule to do exactly that and pick up at least eight of ten points if not nine.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, as of the game in Tampa my "freeview" had not been turned off.

We'll be making our pilgrimage up I-90 from the Roc. I'll be sitting in the 300s, drinking some lots of swill. It's our first time to the FN Center, since the name has been changed.

I predict 4-1, good guys.

"Sabres goaltender Ryan Miller did extra work at the end of Wednesday's practice, making it likely Jhonas Enroth will get his second start of the season."

"We gave the goalies their schedule at the start of the week," Ruff said, "and I'll stick to it."

Guess that answers some questions and concerns about Ruff's goalie rotation. If Enroth doesnt go tonight then he def goes saturday otherwise why would you need a schedule?

Is the free preview supposed to be over by now? I never pay attention to how long that goes on for since I always buy center ice. I was assuming that deal ended as of monday or tuesday, which was when I stopped getting the stations.
