So far I'm unimpressed with this team as a whole. Where is the compete? Two shorties is unacceptable.

I think you're watching another game. The shorties have nothing to do with the compete level. This team has looked excellent except for two brain, one of which was just bad luck on Vanek's part.

My take right now is that the team is too pumped up. First home game, huge expectations, big road trip. The team is on pins and needles. It isn't effective on the scoreboard but it sure is entertaining right now.

The problem isn't that mag moved in, it's that no one else activated to the point. Bad team defense.

It's been a problem for a while now (giving up shorties). Gotta wonder how much point coverage is stressed during PP drills.

You're happy with their play? The shorties have everything to do with how the teams playing. I see them getting outworked. Its very apparent on the powerplay.

I think you gotta give some credit to Carolina. They put speedy guys on the PK.

I have no idea what you're talking about.

I'd feel a lot better about things if they could get a shorty of their own.

So far they have given up 1 PPG and 2 SHGs... Not a stellar night for special teams...

ANd here I thought Pominville on the point was the problem with all the shorties. Might be that it is inherent in the PP system we're using.
