TheChimp Posted April 22, 2012 Report Posted April 22, 2012 Works for me as long as there's good visibility on 90. (If there isn't, I'm still good for the ticket price.) I'll send you my number too. You mean you weren't joking about the snowstorm???
darksabre Posted April 22, 2012 Report Posted April 22, 2012 Left side of Atrium, aka north side, aka Broad street side. Does 6:30 work for everyone? I'll PM you my number. Sounds good!
X. Benedict Posted April 22, 2012 Report Posted April 22, 2012 He won't be old enough. He's in a Myers situation. Either he's with the Sabres or back to Juniors. I always wondered if there are any restrictions on a player like him just spending a year in Europe.

That's amazing though. 29 game winning streak? crazy!
darksabre Posted April 23, 2012 Report Posted April 23, 2012 I'm ready for some hockey tonight. Aroooooo!
Eleven Posted April 23, 2012 Report Posted April 23, 2012 Not looking good. My first trip to an Amerks game is in jeopardy because of a late April snowstorm? How freaking ridiculous is this?
darksabre Posted April 23, 2012 Report Posted April 23, 2012 Not looking good. My first trip to an Amerks game is in jeopardy because of a late April snowstorm? How freaking ridiculous is this? What's the problem? I haven't heard about the roads being that bad. Seems like a lot of bark without the bite.
Eleven Posted April 23, 2012 Report Posted April 23, 2012 What's the problem? I haven't heard about the roads being that bad. Seems like a lot of bark without the bite. The snow has slowed down considerably here in the last hour, too, which is good.
darksabre Posted April 23, 2012 Report Posted April 23, 2012 The snow has slowed down considerably here in the last hour, too, which is good. I'm not getting any accident report emails from the NYS Thruway so that's good as well. There should still be enough salt down everywhere to sate the freezing slop problem if that even arises.
darksabre Posted April 23, 2012 Report Posted April 23, 2012 It's completely stopped! I'm almost disappointed. This whole thing was way over-hyped. I was hoping for some power outages or something. An excuse to hang out at home and drink some emergency beers and read
bcsaberks Posted April 23, 2012 Report Posted April 23, 2012 Biega suspended 1 game for that un-Harvard like hit. Stooopid! Morrison in. Mike Ryan in for Rankin. I pick Adam for first goal.
Eleven Posted April 23, 2012 Report Posted April 23, 2012 Winter Storm Warning lifted. Boom. Awesome. And it looks like I'm going to be able to leave here at 5, too, if I stop wasting time on Internet message boards.
darksabre Posted April 23, 2012 Report Posted April 23, 2012 Awesome. And it looks like I'm going to be able to leave here at 5, too, if I stop wasting time on Internet message boards.
Eleven Posted April 23, 2012 Report Posted April 23, 2012 All right. I am closing up shop and hitting the road. Looking forward to my first AHL game!
darksabre Posted April 23, 2012 Report Posted April 23, 2012 Eleven, ink and Taro are a bunch of creeps. No one should ever hang out with them :nana:
millbank Posted April 24, 2012 Report Posted April 24, 2012 Marlies 3 - Rochester 0, Marlies win series 3 - 0
darksabre Posted April 24, 2012 Report Posted April 24, 2012 Well that was awful. I can't say I've ever seen a team just roll over and take it like that. Frustrating.
TrueBlueGED Posted April 24, 2012 Report Posted April 24, 2012 Well that was awful. I can't say I've ever seen a team just roll over and take it like that. Frustrating. I didn't actually see any of the games, so take this with a grain of salt...but from what I've read, the Marlies simply dominated the series. Just the better team in about every way.
Eleven Posted April 24, 2012 Report Posted April 24, 2012 Ink, again, thanks much for setting that up. It was great to meet you, your brother, Taro, and even d4rk. Those seats were kickass. Here's what I learned: 1) Very nice arena in Rochester. 2) White hots are awesome. 3) The Sabres need to get a goaltender in the system, and outside of Foligno, I'm not too hot on the forwards, either. 4) I need to get a hotel room and plan on working the following day in Roch next time I do this, because not having beers sucked. So did the drive home. But it's all being soothed with a nice glass--well, really, a tumbler--of Bulleit now.

Point 3 is one of the reasons I'm not keen on emptying the system in a trade for Nash--the pipeline could use some help.

Yeah, you do, friggin' wet blanket. ;) A whole bunch of Amerks ended up at Nathaniels after the game. Thought about mentioning to Foligno that I was looking forward to seeing him in b&g for 82 next year, but figured it would be rude to say that in front of Adam.
