sabres1970 Posted October 4, 2011 Report Posted October 4, 2011 Is the game versus the Ducks on regulation NHL ice? If not, does the wider rink give us an advantage or not? If it's regular ice size, please go ahead and close this thread, not trying to make meaningless posts.

Checked the rink's website, couldn't find anything indicating rink ice surface dimensions, so I expect them to be using the international ice. Considering the Sabres appear to be strong skating and not showing a huge penchant for hitting, I'd have to expect that will favor the Sabres against Anaheim.
wjag Posted October 5, 2011 Report Posted October 5, 2011 I saw a video where Ryan said the the SAP rink was large, but the others were normal NHL size.

X. Benedict Posted October 5, 2011 Report Posted October 5, 2011 so there is just Perry, Getzlaf, and Ryan to worry about.
