Assquatch Posted September 28, 2011 Report Posted September 28, 2011 The off-strip Hilton where I'm staying has the Sabres at 15/1 to win the cup and 7/1 to win the East. Caesar's opened at 25/1 to win the cup but is currently at 5/1. MGM (I think it was MGM I seem to have misplaced the paper) opened at 50/1 to win the cup and is currently at 6/1. I guess the lesson here is bet sports futures off-strip. Edit: Over/under regular season points: Sabres 97.5 -110 Some interesting prop bets Caesars is offering on our beloved Sabres: "Austrian goal leader" Michael Grabner -125 Thomas Vanek -5_1/2 -105 "In and out of Philadelphia points leader" Jaromir Jagr -13_1/2 -115 Ville Leino -115 Regular season goalie wins leader Ryan Miller 8/1 Regular season leading goal scorer Thomas Vanek 30/1

"hey ......" so i walked over and sat down about 5 minutes before buffalo tied it up in the first period in game 5 of the carolina series. i did a little fist pump, but then i just about sh** my pants because it seemed like the entire casino erupted in cheers. i looked behind me, and there were at least 3 dozen sabres jerseys standing and sitting. and of course, we all high-fived each other. being that i was on a massive per diem for being down there, i went and got 5 pizzas and just left them on one of the bar tables for everyone to dig through. then we all got back together for game 6, and holy mother of our sweet lord and savior, i swear there were over 100 sabres fans for that game. it was SICK. might as well have been at HSBC for all we knew. and when briere scored the game winner in OT, there were more high fives and hugging hot chicks than i could shake a stick at (metaphorically speaking ...). for the record, drunk hockey chicks can either be *extremely* hot, or unbearably gross. doesn't seem to be any middle ground.
