frissonic Posted September 28, 2011 Report Posted September 28, 2011 Interesting read....maybe. http://prohockeytalk.nbcsports.com/2011/09/28/dramatic-highs-and-lows-dominate-buffalos-difficult-schedule/ "... if the Blues and Islanders end up improved as many expect, that’s a cruel seven-game road trip." really? how so? because no one is saying that the sabres improved as much, if not more so, in the off season than these two? right? oh, wait. there is nothing about this schedule that is 'doom and gloom.' i'm not looking at the sked with rose-colored glasses; i'm just saying that there is no stretch that looks horrible. yah, they play on the road almost the entire month of january. so what? are they a much-improved team? by the time that road trip rolls around, the team will have played 43 games--more than enough time for lines to "gel" and start playing out of their minds. maybe. i just don't see "doom and gloom" being a necessary phrase for any stretch of the schedule. it's kind of schlocky.
