Weave Posted September 28, 2011 Report Posted September 28, 2011 Too lazy to pull up google translator, so I will guess lenai is polish for porch. Lenai isn't a Polish word. It is basically a fancied up word for a covered patio. Lenai is to patio as davenport is to couch.
Eleven Posted September 28, 2011 Report Posted September 28, 2011 Lenai isn't a Polish word. It is basically a fancied up word for a covered patio. Lenai is to patio as davenport is to couch. It's lanai with two As, it is Hawai'ian, and it usually, but not always, is covered. Shorter OED. Yeah, I'm the geek that has one. Weave's original use of "Polish lenai" was dead on except for the spelling. So, back to the Sabres and their cuts?
qwksndmonster Posted September 28, 2011 Report Posted September 28, 2011 Hahaha, good hockey talk, boys.

Andrew Amerk Posted September 28, 2011 Report Posted September 28, 2011 BTW...If Adam makes the big club, who the heck is playing center in Rochester other than Ellis???? They have a couple options: Forwards: 15-Kyle Bochek, C 45-Riley Boychuk, LW 83-Jacob Lagace, RW 29-Maxime Legault, RW 24-Jonathan Parker, RW 38-Paul Szczechura, C 23-Shawn Szydlowski, RW 11-Travis Turnbull, C 22-Phil Varone, C 27-Mark Voakes, C 21-Derek Whitmore, LW
Andrew Amerk Posted September 28, 2011 Report Posted September 28, 2011 Don't know if they officially signed him but Phil Varone is a center as well. Varone has been signed: The Amerks/Sabres announced the signing of free agent Phil Varone to a one-year AHL contract. Varone (and his friends) announced that signing on Twitter on Monday. He scored 33-48-81 in 55 games last season for the OHL’s Erie Otters.
