Would seem apropos, even though I dislike the song. I much prefer the Weird Al version. :)

I'm not going to Tweet this though, since I'd hate to listen to it on a regular basis.

I've always wondered what song that was based off, being a techy I love Weird Al's version.

If it's not Sabre Dance, then we're all idiots.

Are we talking broadcast intro song or skate onto the ice intro song? Broadcast it has to be Sabre Dance, but otherwise I like mixing it up every year. How great did "Better Days" fit in '05-'06? They seem to set a tone for the season.

Skate on the ice, in F'N Center', intro song.

Of course the TV should be Sabre Dance. They're gonna have a new studio in the Center for Kevin and Mike this year too. Somewhere different.

Blyech. I still don't like that song.

I guess years and years of college hockey games have pretty much ruined "pump up" songs for me. It's always nickelback or Metallica or Rise Against. I guess I just don't see the heart in a bunch of bro rock, dated metal, or Robbie Takac.

I don't think a tribute to someone dying is a good intro song. Unless of course it means "happy to be dun with Quinn".

How about good vibrations by the beach boys or Holiday by green day or ?

Personally I can't get enough of bro-rock and dated metal. I will take a pass on Robbie Takac.

My suggestions:

Creeping Dealth or For Whom the Bell Tolls - Metallica (Although I am all for Enter Sandman)

Testify or Bombtrack - Rage Against the Machine

The Clincher - Chevelle

Kickstart My Heart - Motley Crue

I don't know, there were some times last year this team could have used some emergency Van Halen.
