deluca67
I say the following with all due respect and with no intent on opening a can of worms: While I appreciate the modern conveniences of technology and all of that sort of stuff, I sometimes get that feeling that I was born in the wrong century. In earlier times, this would not even be up for discussion. Things were a lot more black and white with very little room for "gray." Having said that, I would have loved to be in 19th century London sitting under this man's leadership. I'm just thankful that I don't freely nor secretly associate with these crazies! A narrow mind is a terrible thing to waste.
shrader
Why? I don't just lust after skinny girls. You're going hogging? Congrats to the lovely couple. Eleven
Duh. Indian food doesn't look anything like thai, cantonese, vietnamese, chinese, or any of the other LaChoy flavors. Bought a can of that stuff once. I think I was a junior in college. Once.
RazielSabre
So you can tell Indian food (partially?) from all other Asian foods, but you think all Asians look alike? How long does it take 1 person to realise their being played? RazielSabre
Russia is actually in between Europe and Asia, and chooses to affiliate with Europe in most things. Some countries from USSR (or the Soviet Federation) prefer to be in the Asian diaspora. It's of Indian origin. The stereotype is the same as when the rest of the world assumes that all Americans are Mickey D's-gobbling, Budweiser-swilling, racist idiots. Russia is in Asia, but part of the European union. It's not 'inbetween' geographically. Not even close.

korab rules
Bought a can of that stuff once. I think I was a junior in college. Once. LaChoy was what passed for ethnic food in my house growing up. God-awful stuff. Luckily, my palate survived the experience. How long does it take 1 person to realise their being played? That's like asking how many licks it takes to get to the center of a tootsie pop. No one really knows. 24 hours and counting as of now.

Some limey you are mate.. Russia is part of the European Union? Really? I reiterate what I said - "I thought the Kama Sutra reference was playing off a racial stereotype and uncool." There's nothing to 'get' there about being played, it was pretty clear he was playing to the audience. I took offense, and said what I had to say, and it's over and done with. Or is there more to this?

(Note, that doesnt make me less british, as implied ;)) Nothing wrong with using the Kama Sutra in a reference like this, if they were using it in a negative way then maybe, but they weren't, no harm no foul.
