I'm no lawyer, but this seems VERY different than the Coyotes situation ... not like the league is going to have to step in ...according to this story - http://www.reuters.com/article/2011/09/12/dallasstars-bankruptcy-sale-idUSS1E78B16B20110912 - they have a guy willing to play $230 million, it's just that the only way they can complete the deal is through bankruptcy court because they have so many creditors ... or at least that is my layman's interpretation. If someone is coming in willing to pay that, it seems like a GOOD thing for the league.

Looks like Canadian buyer guy plans on keeping the team in Dallas. Dammit.

I live in DFW and yeah, this is old news. Tom Hicks also owned the Texas Rangers and that club sold to a Nolan Ryan led group in August 2010. The looming Stars bankruptcy was discussed back then.

That's what they all say before the ink is dry. If the Thrashers can move to Canada overnight, it could be Dallas is heading to Quebec...
