I've had a great week. I feel like I turned a corner last weekend. I'm not stuck in the cycle of misery that I've been in since my missing half was diagnosed in August. I'm still sad and I still miss her, but I feel like life is worth living again. I'm sure there will be dark days ahead, but I think I'm out of the abyss now.

Missed this thread last week, but great to hear, 11.

Wow!!

6:45 PM (ADT) and nothing fantastic.

Oh well, since it's Friday, you guys are fantastic.

Also, at least it isn't snowing today, yet. It may tonight.

EDIT:

That is good news, 11.

Friday! Wooo. So supposedly I am hanging out with 4 lovely attractive girls tonight. I don't expect anything at all and I think I am just friends with them but wing women are better than wing men. Also there is nothing going on at work because of finals so my office is taking a long lunch.

Thanks.

Things seem to be evening out pretty well.

My wife's health is never fantastic, but we'll take it.

And, at least it's not raining today ... yet.

This year the April showers brought the May showers, at least so far.

We are hoping for a cloudy and cool summer, though. Everyone is ready to run us out of town ... :P

Had a couple long island ice teas last night...strolled into work 45 minutes "late". Day is still one of the most productive I've had all week, plus my boss isn't coming in until noon, and I get to leave early!

F'N Fantastic

Leaving work early today to head out to the New Bern, NC area to go camping with my son's Y Guides tribe for the weekend. The weather looks great for fishing and boating. Also will be stopping at the local craft beer shop for some firewater on the way out of town.... F'N Fantastic

My dad is visiting and he is going to help me put together a trampoline today, which is going to be a surprise gift for my kids. I think they will be pretty psyched.

What's the worst thing that can happen?

It's a strong possibility.

What kind of "nut" was missing, I wonder?

I always wanted a trampoline when I was a (younger) kid. Naysayers like PA, and my dad: PPSSHHHH. Is it one with a net wall?

Got off of work tonight and got my taxes back yesterday.

Keep it hidden behind the house, I've heard your homeowners insurance will go up quite a bit if they find out you have it.
