Completing 3 months at my new job today.

What a great job. There's all kinds of frustrations with the legacy crap they need to shed but they are committed to doing it. Very few days do I end the day not excited about what I am doing.

I'm somewhat angry at myself for hanging onto the old job with a hope that I would survive and end up promoted. It's turned out great that they booted me (over the other leader) and that I ended up where I am.

So.. yeah.  Now, off to Vegas again, Sun-Thu.  The same days I went in October when my last company chose to dump me while I was still there for a conference. Different conference this time... I'm not worried. 🙂

You’ll be in my neck of the woods. A few hours away.

I’ve been hoping to post this all day.

My FIL was diagnosed with cancer a few weeks ago.  He has some pretty serious other health complications.  Surgery was scheduled for today.  There was risk due to his age and health.

He’s out of surgery and recovering as expected.  Dr expects a good overall prognosis.

Finally, some good news regarding folks close to us.

I'll give you some more good news. I had a clean scan on Tuesday. I'm in a new trail and probably have about a week left of having hair. It's a drag up top, but kinda nice downstairs. We are working on new tunes and are putting on another show most likely this June. You are on the list if you can make it. We can fish the Passaic for pike afterward.

Oh, and this Manhattan is delicious.

Why would a sharp guy, such as yourself, hang out with them if you don’t like them?  Business obligation?

Good news for you.  And I like that you are a musician, I am a guy playing guitar, forever learning music.

I’m taking a break from Luxardo cherries right now (I just can’t bring myself to pay $25 for a jar. They can go screw), so I went with just a store brand cherry. Jim Beam was the brown,… oh , you meant the show. It’s still just a flicker. I will post something as soon as I know.

Have you considered consulting for a generationally failed company/franchise? This would be a challenging turnaround project for anyone. The biggest challenge would be dealing with a stubborn owner who is resistant to outside advice. 😀

Like pizza, there is no such thing as a bad manhattan, just some better than others.

Wonderful news. Happy for you with your positive update. As far as possessing musical talents, I am an abomination. In grammar school when practicing for a class song for the event the music instructor advised not to sing but to fake singing. His appraisal and recommendation although harsh were sound. When you don't got it you shouldn't go there.
