Not looking good Having been stranded in cities with air travel I can appreciate this issue. Not sure how upset I would be getting stuck in San Francisco. 🙂 When I was in Key West I was hoping they'd announce that they were never flying out again... take a hint from Hotel California and all that. Hope you find a way though, seriously. On the things that are fantastic though... I'm just going to go outside. Today is perfect weather for a mid-afternoon margarita on the deck. 1

Ive managed a ride home, but its a late one. Not a red eye, but it’ll be Saturday on the calendar when I get into Roc. Trapped in that weird spot where I have time to kill, but not enough to really appreciate being stuck. on the good side, it’s still on the company dime. 2

Doohicksie Posted June 1 Report Posted June 1 Weird Friday. The long weekend was messed up by losing the AC Sunday night and getting it repaired Monday morning. Then the short week, which was shortened even more when a thunderstorm killed my power and I couldn't work from home on Thursday. Then today; Friday is a normal day off since I work 4x10, but for some reason it feels like Saturday. Now I have another Saturday coming up. If a holiday weekend messes me up that bad, I can only imagine what retirement is gonna be like.

I basically feel like I live in an Alice in wonderland haze 😂😂 1
Doohicksie Posted June 1 Report Posted June 1 I realized the other thing that threw me off was my wife is done teaching for the year so she was home.
Taro T Posted June 1 Report Posted June 1 Realize it's now Saturday, but solved the problem on Friday, so ... Had power to one room go out last week. Didn't trip a breaker and power still got to the rest of that circuit. After a few days of tracing the circuit in the attic, could not find a bad outlet; or more accurately THE bad outlet. Got a circuit tracer and found there was an outlet in that room that we did not remember being there. (Was behind some furniture.) Swapped that out, and that room is now back in the 20th century and electrified. Yea!! 1

Small ceremony followed by an old fashioned cookout at our house. The weather is looking to be fantastic. Every freaking flower in the gardens are in full bloom, which I don’t think has ever happened simultaneously. The flowering cataulpa (sp?) tree is in full bloom. Coolers of beer and wine are chilling. Steaks from Palmer’s (IYKYK) seasoned and staged. The backyard is set up and ready. And chaos in the house as the bride to be is getting ready. I’m so happy I’m even optimistic today about the Sabres and July 1. I have been relegated to the far reaches of the house whilst the ladies ready themselves. Soon….. 1 1
French Collection Posted June 21 Report Posted June 21 I just passed my class A driver’s license, so I can drive large trucks for 5 more years. This is probably my last renewal. I hardly use it, 30-40 days a year when I go on power restoration efforts after storms. Keeps me somewhat active and the extra money is a bonus. My buddy who goes on these storms with me wants to sign up with a company out of Fort Erie. We currently work for a company across the border from Watertown NY. He’s in southwestern Ontario so Fort Erie’s a much shorter drive for him and about the same for me. The bonus is I could check out a few Sabres games after the storms. 2

Some free Sabrespace advice: - Pick 3 things you really care about and then let your wife have her way on everything else. - Clean up around the house. - Keep your pants on when away from home. Congrats! 1
