Bullwinkle Posted July 27, 2011 Report Posted July 27, 2011 I think it would be a great idea to pin this topic for the coming NHL season. On it we would get the advice of others on potential fantasy trades and post relevant NHL fantasy articles. Here is my first from Dobbs - The Source for fantasy hockey, previewing the Ducks, Bruins, Sabres, and Flames. http://www.thehockeynews.com/articles/41426-Fantasy-Pool-Look-Offseason-report-Ducks-Bruins-Sabres-Flames.html?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=thn_daily_20110727 Here is another fantasy hockey article from THN covering Carolina, Chicago, Colorado and Columbus. http://www.thehockey..._daily_20110803 Stars, Wings, Oilers & Panthers http://www.thehockeynews.com/articles/41508-Fantasy-Pool-Look-Offseason-report-Stars-Wings-Oilers-and-Panthers.html?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=thn_daily_20110810 Devils, Isles, Rangers, Penguins, Senators, Flyers http://www.thehockeynews.com/articles/41573-Fantasy-Pool-Look-Offseason-report-Devils-Isles-Rangers-Sens-Flyers.html
Bullwinkle Posted August 16, 2011 Author Report Posted August 16, 2011 This is a comprehensive listing of the top 100 roto players in the NHL right now. If you're in a H2H or roto league, this is good stuff to know. http://www.dobberhockey.com/dobberpics/rotoaug2011.pdf Also there's information in there concerning rebuilding your team and even predictions for player performance in the coming season. A good read. BTW as a reminder, you Commissioners out there should be getting ready in the next week or two to set up your drafting dates. It's never too early to wake your GMs from their summer lethargy!
LGR4GM Posted August 17, 2011 Report Posted August 17, 2011 Ive been looking around the league and there are definitely some players I wouldnt touch this season just because of where and who they are playing with... that said there are some players who may slide down the board due to last years performance but they are now on significantly better teams... Look at the big picture.

Look at the big picture. I think there are some interesting unknowns this season. e.g. Jagr In our league we have salary caps and bid on players. I really have no idea on how to evaluate him...or the Philly team for that matter, so many changes have been made. Another is Crosby. Makes for an interesting draft.
Bullwinkle Posted August 28, 2011 Author Report Posted August 28, 2011 Interesting article on the question: Do you draft Sidney Crosby? http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/blog/puck_daddy/post/Would-you-still-take-Sidney-Crosby-in-your-NHL-f?urn=nhl-wp11216
Bullwinkle Posted August 30, 2011 Author Report Posted August 30, 2011 There are lots of bloggers who spew out lots of information that they think is important. I don't take stock in most of them, but Ryan Ma knows his stuff. And since none of you are in any of my fantasy leagues, I don't mind sharing his thoughts with you. Here is an excellent article on Players to Avoid in the Western Conference. http://www.dobberhockey.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=3924:not-with-a-10-foot-pole-west-2011&catid=41:ryan-ma&Itemid=117

I read that too and I agree with you. I don't have the same respect for Lucarelli as I do for Ma.
