TrueBlueGED Posted August 13, 2016 Report Posted August 13, 2016 /checks in //sees praise for Gose and Radler ///shudders Haven't had a gose yet, but totally agree on the radlers. The fruit in beer has gone too far! Quote
LGR4GM Posted August 13, 2016 Report Posted August 13, 2016 Raddler is only half beer. It is literally half beer, half juice. I don't even consider it beer. Quote

sabills Posted August 13, 2016 Report Posted August 13, 2016 I pretty much agree with you. That said, on a hot day it's really good. yeah, and I like them better than shandys Quote

TrueBlueGED Posted August 14, 2016 Report Posted August 14, 2016 Do NOT. I kind of want to now. It's sort of like a movie that everyone says is terrible, isn't there a little part of you that is enticed by that? Quote

TrueBlueGED Posted August 14, 2016 Report Posted August 14, 2016 Like Waterworld? Sure. Or any number of others. Godspeed. I recommend having legit cajun sausage on hand to erase the taste. It can't be any worse than this healthy vegetable drink I was force fed last week that tasted like melted celery. Quote

That Aud Smell Posted August 14, 2016 Report Posted August 14, 2016 Gose are good. Depends on the gose. They have a salty finish though. You're a good man. Don't buy that lie. You won't lose your beer snob cred if you admit you'd rather not drink Gose. Do it. You'll feel better. Plus, you won't have to drink that fermented sweat. Quote
LGR4GM Posted August 14, 2016 Report Posted August 14, 2016 I think IPAs are overrated and I've had some bad gose but the style in general is fine for summer. Summer shandys are fine too. It's all about taste. I won't order a gose when I go out typically because they are salty. Rather have something like a blonde ale or wheat in the summer. That said terrapin's watermelon gose is really good and I do enjoy it. Quote
That Aud Smell Posted August 14, 2016 Report Posted August 14, 2016 There is no good Gose. There are only proud beer geeks saying there are serviceable Gose out there. Quote
LGR4GM Posted August 14, 2016 Report Posted August 14, 2016 Got it, you dislike gose. That's fine. Quote
That Aud Smell Posted August 15, 2016 Report Posted August 15, 2016 Got it, you dislike gose. That's fine. And I also like needling those who say they do. Quote

They already owned part of Terrapin. Terrapin's Gose is one of the few beers they make I really enjoy. Their are other craft breweries in Georgia I like more. Everything from Burnt Hickory I have ever had has been good. Quote

LGR4GM Posted August 15, 2016 Report Posted August 15, 2016 Not all of the time. Is there a major regional craft brewery that hasn't sold all or a chunk of its equity interests to Big Beer? There are less and less of them. It helps them to expand and also to add new markets. Quote
