MillerLight30 Posted July 18, 2011 Report Posted July 18, 2011 Has anyone heard of who or know's of someone who would be a good replacement for Brian McCuctheon as Lindy Ruff's associate coach? I heard that before rookie developement camp at the start of July they would of had an assistant selected but that wasn't the case.
Two or less Posted July 18, 2011 Report Posted July 18, 2011 I've read recently it's believed to be Mike Foligno, but we don't know for certain. I believe Garth reported that.
Sabre Dance Posted July 18, 2011 Report Posted July 18, 2011 I've read recently it's believed to be Mike Foligno, but we don't know for certain. I believe Garth reported that. That would be pretty cool - however, if that falls through, I am available for the job. My coaching skills are weak, er... non-existent but I'm great at handing out towels and positive thinking. Where do I apply?

See Pat Lalime for further details on a position with those qualifications.

The Foligno idea bugs me a bit. The idea of having the father of one of the prospects in the system doesn't sit well with me. But more than anything, I'd like to see a little more experience at the NHL level from whoever gets the job.
spndnchz Posted July 19, 2011 Report Posted July 19, 2011 There's a rumor going around it might be Doug Houda.
X. Benedict Posted July 19, 2011 Report Posted July 19, 2011 There's a rumor going around it might be Doug Houda. Really? Did Boston let him go?
spndnchz Posted July 19, 2011 Report Posted July 19, 2011 Really? Did Boston let him go? Haven't heard.
Calvin Posted July 19, 2011 Report Posted July 19, 2011 Really? Did Boston let him go? nothing at all in the news
X. Benedict Posted July 19, 2011 Report Posted July 19, 2011 Haven't heard. I wouldn't be surprised if Houds wants the Amerks job given his history.
wjag Posted July 19, 2011 Report Posted July 19, 2011 Seems like they are waiting a long time to fill out the staff..
spndnchz Posted July 19, 2011 Report Posted July 19, 2011 Seems like they are waiting a long time to fill out the staff.. Lindy is out of town this week. Prolly next week announce something. Now that NJD has a head coach, others will be ready to be assistants around the league.
