X. Benedict Posted July 11, 2011 Report Posted July 11, 2011 I'm curious to find out what Dubinsky and Callahan are going to get... and will the Rags accept it, Dubinsky especially... Hmmmm It will be interesting to see how they play it. The wildcard could be Boyle. He put up numbers very similar to Clarke MacArthur 2 years ago. (2.4 million award) I would be surprised if Dubinsky or Callahan ended up with less than 4.5 M.
shrader Posted July 11, 2011 Report Posted July 11, 2011 It will be interesting to see how they play it. The wildcard could be Boyle. He put up numbers very similar to Clarke MacArthur 2 years ago. (2.4 million award) I would be surprised if Dubinsky or Callahan ended up with less than 4.5 M. Boyle will also be the easiest to walk away from. If he gets MacArthur money, I can't see any way the Rags could justify paying that. Then again, hasn't there been documentation now which said that Atlanta intentionally tanked their arbitration case because they had no intention of keeping him? Maybe that case has no bearing on anything. Anyway, I hope Boyle doesn't get anything north of $2 million or else the system is completely broken. 1 good year during a 4 year career should not be worth much. Yes he has potential and his size is very intriguing, but arbitration should not pay out based on potential, but on actual results.
