Limey ... is that you? What gives with the alias?

Felt like a change, also hooked the picture into Facebook. I'm a big fan of Raziel from the Legacy of Kain series as well :D.

Kovi nets his 18th and 19th tonight. Looks like he has settled in pretty nicely in New Jersey.

I'm still reserving my judgment on whether this deal works out in the long run for Jersey, but if he continues to adjust his game to be more defensive while still scoring then I'll be calling you correct by end of next season.

I take a few days in PR and the first thing I come back to is DeLuca pimpin' Kovy! Love it!

Anyway, please pardon my ignorance of ongoing threads, etc. I have no idea what happened over the last week except the basic W/L, which certainly isn't good. And I don't think I can read through every thread. So, from here, I generally disagree with all of you. (kidding.)

And thanks to chz for keeping me a little bit up to date through twitter.

I recommend reading last nights GDT. That'll fill you in pretty well.

I appreciate the reference, but that's about 500 posts and counting, and I did listen to the second and third periods while packing up for home. On top of it, I'll bet I have the gist of what was said without looking.

Aww, hell, I'll take a peek.

Double-dare edit: Yeah, I had the gist.

I think you know which posts to gloss over. It shouldn't take you that long to get through.

Listening to the post game on WGR550.com will also contribute.

When this is on the first page of Yahoo news you know it's not good. My wife actually tried to hide this from me because she didn't want me to be sad.

A domain of evil it is. In you must go.

Awww. That's very sweet of her. Protecting her husband from the Sabres' suckitude ;)

OIL's Taylor Hall misses game after freak accident in pregame warm-ups:

COLUMBUS -- The Edmonton Oilers were already shorthanded when they arrived in Columbus for a game against the Blue Jackets, but it got worse Tuesday night before the game even started.

Taylor Hall, the lone member of the team's trio of top-line phenoms in the lineup Tuesday, was unable to play after falling to the ice during warmups and then being cut on his forehead by teammate Corey Potter's skate.

Hall fell and took out his teammate's legs and they slid to the boards together. Potter apparently didn't see them until the last second and tried to jump or leap over the pile. He didn't make it.

Did you see Taylor Hall get his face stepped on by a teammate during the pre-game skate? OW!!! 30 stitches!

Yikes.

Nice extension for a goalie having a hot year.

A goalie who up until this point in his career had stats even worse than the year Miller is currently putting up. Elliot looked like pure garbage. This could be a good sign of how goalies tend to look a lot better playing in a defensive system like Hitchcock's as opposed to whatever it was Ottawa was doing last year.

And for St. Louis, they have a lot of good pieces on that team. They just weren't being coached to their strengths. Hitch is a smart guy, he'll probably have a couple seasons there.

Hell, if Carolina is going to start unloading already, what do you think they'll want for Staal?

They would probably want Roy and Adam, or more likely Roy and Kass/Gerbe/Ennis (plus picks and stuff). It's a guess based on what I see but I really don't think the deals impossible to make. We'd need to dump salary but we have enough dead weight for that not to be a problem.

Scratch Roy and replace with Vanek. No one WANTS Roy as the centre piece of a deal for their captain and franchise player, it might be the player they end up with if the GM sweetens the deal enough with high draft picks and some top level prospects.

I would love to see them make an attempt to get any or all of the Staal brothers, but Darcy is probably scouring the other teams rosters for busts/underachievers just looking to breakout with a change of scenery in Buffalo instead
