Kristian Posted January 12, 2012 Report Posted January 12, 2012 Can we ship off Mr. Loser himself, Derek Roy, for Cammallari please?
dEnnis the Menace Posted January 12, 2012 Report Posted January 12, 2012 Can we ship off Mr. Loser himself, Derek Roy, for Cammallari please? Not with the expectations that Cammallari just laid out! Especially being Montreal! He'd collapse under all that pressure!
K-9 Posted January 12, 2012 Report Posted January 12, 2012 Not with the expectations that Cammallari just laid out! Especially being Montreal! He'd collapse under all that pressure! Hey, lay off Derek Roy. He's a sensitive young man who just may be feeling a little vulnerable right now. GO SABRES!!!
Marvelo Posted January 12, 2012 Report Posted January 12, 2012 soon we're going to be looking up in the standings at those "losers."
RazielSabre Posted January 12, 2012 Report Posted January 12, 2012 Oh I'd forgotten about this thread lol. Ahem thanks for Merging. :) Hey, lay off Derek Roy. He's a sensitive young man who just may be feeling a little vulnerable right now. GO SABRES!!!  Oh his quote today is excellent "I made some comments after my interview yesterday. I thought they were pretty PC comments regarding the competitive advantage a winning team has in their mentality, and the lack thereof of a losing team. I didn't think it was groundbreaking news." When asked by reporters on Thursday whether he felt he was misquoted, Cammalleri said, "I don't have anything else to say today."
Randall Flagg Posted January 13, 2012 Report Posted January 13, 2012 Just heardon NHL network that unconfirmed reports have come up saying Montreal traded cammaleri, or however you spell it. If true, I wonder to whom?
carpandean Posted January 13, 2012 Report Posted January 13, 2012 Heard the same thing. Roy is French Canadian, and after they promoted a non-French coach, he would help their image.
Randall Flagg Posted January 13, 2012 Report Posted January 13, 2012 Heard the same thing. Roy is French Canadian, and after they promoted a non-French coach, he would help their image. Are you saying it was for roy, or just speculating?
HopefulFuture Posted January 13, 2012 Report Posted January 13, 2012 Just heardon NHL network that unconfirmed reports have come up saying Montreal traded cammaleri, or however you spell it. If true, I wonder to whom? Yea, just saw it. And it's been confirmed but multiple outlets now, just waiting to here where he went. He really was a great player when he arrived in Montreal, to bad he's leaving after the comments he made, but, at least he had the balls to say something.
carpandean Posted January 13, 2012 Report Posted January 13, 2012 Are you saying it was for roy, or just speculating? Tongue-in-cheek speculation. They'd have to take back $2M more is salary to make the numbers work out. Plus, Cammalleri's an equally small player. Not sure how I'd feel about it. His numbers were better back when he was a center in LA and Calgary.
carpandean Posted January 13, 2012 Report Posted January 13, 2012 Sounds like he's going back to Calgary. Given his salary, I'm happy my musing did not turn out to be true.
HopefulFuture Posted January 13, 2012 Report Posted January 13, 2012 Sounds like he's going back to Calgary. Given his salary, I'm happy my musing did not turn out to be true. Well, it's nice to see a move being made that has some impact by some one. It was gettig to patient out there ;)
JJFIVEOH Posted January 13, 2012 Report Posted January 13, 2012 So why didn't he dodge the same exact hit from Salo when it happened a few seconds earlier? I don't know. The play where Marchand was suspended on really wasn't even a hit to begin with. Salo was barely moving. I don't think Marchand saw enough of Salo to determine whether or not it was going to be a hit.
Pville29 Posted January 13, 2012 Report Posted January 13, 2012 They said columbus was also one of the team that might be in the trade but it would make more sense with calgary
LabattBlue Posted January 13, 2012 Report Posted January 13, 2012 Wait a minute...I thought the reason why the Sabres weren't making any moves is because it takes two to tango, and right now none of the other 29 GM's want to dance?
spndnchz Posted January 13, 2012 Author Report Posted January 13, 2012 A goalie and a fifth round pick next year in exchange for Bourque, Holland and a second round pick in 2013. I am not paying $6 million for nine goals.

Just listened to the Pierre Gauthier PC on NHLN and he said they were working on the deal since first week of December, that it's a very difficult time for trades all around the league, AND (now hold on to your hat) the biggest impact on the Canadians' poor season has been, yep, you guessed it, injuries. GO SABRES!!!
thesportsbuff Posted January 13, 2012 Report Posted January 13, 2012 Wait a minute...I thought the reason why the Sabres weren't making any moves is because it takes two to tango, and right now none of the other 29 GM's want to dance? I agree with the general sentiment behind your post, but I want no part of Cammalleri.

I am not paying $6 million for nine goals. That's a better rate than the $10 million for 10 goals the Sabres are paying Stafford and Lieno. Looks like Calgary is adding to make a run at the playoffs.
LabattBlue Posted January 13, 2012 Report Posted January 13, 2012 I want no part of Cammalleri. Me either. He would just be more of the same.
Andrew Amerk Posted January 13, 2012 Report Posted January 13, 2012 Suddenly, more Bruins games have been appearing on my television, and zero Sabres games. Maybe the Mayans were onto something.
RazielSabre Posted January 13, 2012 Report Posted January 13, 2012 Me either. He would just be more of the same. But it's sad to see that if you speak out about being unhappy, wanting more from your team, your immediately shipped off. Passion for winning has become a bad thing. Tragic. I no longer have any problem with Pominville being quiet.
