darksabre Posted December 1, 2011 Report Posted December 1, 2011 great d from both teams...heavy for check from Detroit.. then a perfect play by Tampa to tie. Would like Howard to grab this win though, for fantasy's sake. :D
waldo Posted December 1, 2011 Report Posted December 1, 2011 Would like Howard to grab this win though, for fantasy's sake. :D I will light a candle for you. Maybe it will stop his team from giving up those clean look weak side chances. There was nothing he could do about the tying goal
darksabre Posted December 1, 2011 Report Posted December 1, 2011 I will light a candle for you. Maybe it will stop his team from giving up those clean look weak side chances. There was nothing he could do about the tying goal Jimmy Howard is good for one thing: winning with a really average GAA. He makes all the right saves and relies on his team to get the job done offensively. I wish we could say the same for our Sabres.
darksabre Posted December 1, 2011 Report Posted December 1, 2011 The one thing I hate about watching other hockey games is that other teams look so much...different...than us. There's just something about the way we play hockey that doesn't line up with the way everyone else does. I watch this Red Wings game and I see "real" hockey. Sabres hockey is...uncomfortable. :bag:
LGR4GM Posted December 1, 2011 Report Posted December 1, 2011 Bruins have resigned Center Krejci for 3yrs 15.75million http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=381675
nfreeman Posted December 1, 2011 Report Posted December 1, 2011 Bruins have resigned Center Krejci for 3yrs 15.75million http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=381675 Wow. Pretty rich deal for him. He's a nice all-around player but not a star. And he was going to be an RFA, not a UFA.
FolignosJock Posted December 1, 2011 Report Posted December 1, 2011 Wow. Pretty rich deal for him. He's a nice all-around player but not a star. And he was going to be an RFA, not a UFA. I agree I wonder what bruins fans think. That contract looks like it will be bad.
Samson's Flow Posted December 1, 2011 Report Posted December 1, 2011 I agree I wonder what bruins fans think. That contract looks like it will be bad. Yeah. Krejci for $5.25M/year or Bobby Ryan at $5.1M/year? :wallbash:
FolignosJock Posted December 1, 2011 Report Posted December 1, 2011 Yeah. Krejci for $5.25M/year or Bobby Ryan at $5.1M/year? :wallbash: Ummmm.... Ill take the 30+ goal scoring power forward?
qwksndmonster Posted December 1, 2011 Report Posted December 1, 2011 Wow. Pretty rich deal for him. He's a nice all-around player but not a star. And he was going to be an RFA, not a UFA. I'm guessing the big money is because of his playoff performance last year. It's hard not to offer the leading scorer in the playoffs of the Cup winning team a nice chunk of cash.
darksabre Posted December 2, 2011 Report Posted December 2, 2011 Awesome fight between Erskine and Asham to get payback for Asham's "go to sleep" on Beagle. I love hockey.
spndnchz Posted December 2, 2011 Author Report Posted December 2, 2011 Grier officially retires from NHL.
deluca67 Posted December 2, 2011 Report Posted December 2, 2011 I agree I wonder what bruins fans think. That contract looks like it will be bad. David Krejci is a center, quality centers are in short supply and teams are willing to overpay.
korab rules Posted December 2, 2011 Report Posted December 2, 2011 Grier officially retires from NHL. Your sources are really on top of things!
deluca67 Posted December 2, 2011 Report Posted December 2, 2011 Your sources are really on top of things! I guess I shouldn't post Myers is injured and unlikely to play tonight.
korab rules Posted December 2, 2011 Report Posted December 2, 2011 I guess I shouldn't post Myers is injured and unlikely to play tonight. You should only do so if you create a new thread to announce it when there is already a thread in the top three announcing that he is injured and unlikely to play. But the timeliness of such a post would be just about right
waldo Posted December 2, 2011 Report Posted December 2, 2011 I guess I shouldn't post Myers is injured and unlikely to play tonight. I had planned on announcing that tommorow. No significant improvement in the quality of the D would result from his presence anyway. :D
korab rules Posted December 2, 2011 Report Posted December 2, 2011 I had planned on announcing that tommorow. No significant improvement in the quality of the D would result from his presence anyway. :D Lol. Well done.
darksabre Posted December 4, 2011 Report Posted December 4, 2011 Lucic and the Bruins just put on an unbelievable clinic in zone possession against the Leafs. Held the puck in for nearly three minutes and the Leafs couldn't get it back. Size and work ethic getting it done.

bunomatic Posted December 4, 2011 Report Posted December 4, 2011  As much as I hate the Bruins I'd love our team to be able to do what they do. :clapping:
Bmwolf21 Posted December 4, 2011 Report Posted December 4, 2011 Latest realignment possibility: http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/blog/puck_daddy/post/Latest-NHL-radical-realignment-plan-breaks-up-So?urn=nhl-wp18932&utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter
rickshaw Posted December 4, 2011 Report Posted December 4, 2011 Why is it that you get a penalty for slashing someone's stick but it's ok to two hand a guy without a call?? Why is it a penalty to do a one hand hook but not one when you crosscheck a guy in the ribs? Just a few of the things I noticed tonight in one of the games I watched. NHL reffing is maddening.
