Funniest song selection by an organist at an NHL game that I have heard in a long time...

On Monday night during the Kings @ Blues game on Versus, after one of the Kings goals, the organist played FU by Cee Lo Green.

Love it.

"Despite the fact that Deveaux conceded this was a dangerous reflex and instinct, when we looked at all the evidence surrounding the play, we agreed with his assertion that there was no malicious intent," said NHL disciplinarian Brendan Shanahan.

I thought that was interesting. I thought the NHL was obsessed with Nickelback...

Nickelback was busy at the Lions game.

If Deveaux was suspended for three games, I bet Crosby does not get suspended for his intentional elbow to the head of Nick Foligno last night. Why would he get suspended? He's just the best player in the NHL even though he did everything he said needs to be taken out of the game and is the biggest hypocrite in the NHL as far as I'm concerned. What a punk and hypocrite!

As they said on TSN its game on now. If Crosby is willing to play like that and take shots at peoples heads he's obviously healthy enough to take a shot or two. He's the face of the game but the league can't afford to appear to protect him at the expense of other players. But they will. This shouldn't be surprising with this leagues lack of integrity.

It wasn't even an elbow lol it was his glove/forearm at best and it was nothing that doesn't happen at least 2 or 3 times per game no matter who is involved so not really a big deal in my opinion.

OMG! Since when are "talented players" allowed to show any toughness or protect their goalie. Has anyone told Darcy & Lindy?

I think you guys both missed the point. You have a guy who has missed 10 months of play due to concussions and has been outspoken and holds a freaking press conference saying that the NHL needs to eliminate head shots from the game, and he goes out there and elbows Foligno in the head. I don't care if it wasn't serious and Foligno didn't get hurt. The fact that he attempted to hit the guy in the head shows he's the biggest freaking hypocrite and that his stupid press conference about taking head shots out of the game only refer to taking head shots against him out of the game. He's a freaking hypocrite and should be suspended for his hit to the head of Foligno.

It wasn't an elbow to the head. It was the equivalent of a face wash. Jousting in front of the net happens. Hands get in peoples faces. I like the grit Crosby showed, even better how Kunitz jumped the guy when he fought back.

You don't like Crosby and feel the need to come up with bogus reasons to hate on him. Your point wasn't missed.

Also, this really the pot calling the kettle black when you of all people have the most bogus reasons to hate on Sabre players just because you want to regardless of their performance such as your hatred of Stafford after a 30 goal season saying it was just a contract year instead of him being a decent player.

So being a hypocrite is not a good reason to hate on him? What is a good reason to hate on him? The fact that he has a press conference to say head shots should be eliminated and then goes out and does it himself is not a good reason to hate on him?

I'm curious what the response across the NHL would have been if Foligno had done the same thing to Crosby. It probably would be how dare Foligno have the audacity to hit a guy who has had concussion problems in the head or something like that.

I don't know maybe my eyes are bad but to me that was an elbow to the kisser if I've ever seen one. No big deal. Crosby gives as good as he takes and gets away with a stars share of infractions throughout the average game. We all know that. But he does take some as well. Alls fair in love and hockey. I just hope we don't have to hear him whine about his own ailments anymore if he's going to inflict the same on others.

Exactly. A great player with an edge that the gods have have cursed with a soft melon. If he is going to start banging again the Gretzky shield the leagues has placed around him will collapse. He must have missed that memo.He needs to remove the edge from his game or he is gone.

Am I not being proven right on Stafford? Has Stafford not regressed back to the player he was before last season? I don't hate Drew Stafford, I don't know him personally, I hate that a player with his size and talent is so incurably lazy and soft. I hate that most nights Stafford looks as if he doesn't even like the game of hockey.

Do you have any more examples where I am supposed to be a hypocrite despite being 100% right?

And seriously, there is a huge difference between battling in front of the net one on one and blindsiding a guy with a head shot. You can try to make a connection but you are failing miserably.

Crosby didn't even see him when he was battling and it was not a deliberate elbow. That type of contact happens 20 times a game in the playoffs. I would get a woody if we had a guy with 70% his skill and that grit. Vanek almost gets it.

I think people here have a tough time deciphering Team Stormcloud's view on people as hockey men, and their off ice beings. There is only 1 person on the team I don't respect as a human being. Many of the same people I may harp on for on ice persona, off ice they are great guys. Lindy included.

Couldn't find a video of the alleged Crosby elbow, but I'll tell you right now, if these two hits aren't suspension worthy then there's no way what Crosby did while battling in front of the net should be. People are always so quick to jump on the "that should be a suspension" train..

First, how are you being proven right on Stafford only after 28 games. I believe the season is 82 games long. And, he has not played lazily at all this year if you actually watch the game and not just the box score stat line. He hasn't scored, but it isn't because he's playing soft or not being around the net or making plays.

Second, you are 100% wrong on Daniel Briere. The guy is a player and no matter how he plays in the defensive zone or whether he takes dives or not, he is exactly the type of player this team has needed for the last 4 years, and it was not a genius move by the Sabres not to re-sign him. If Briere was on this team, this team consistently makes the playoffs and advances multiple rounds. Don't let your hatred of his defensive zone play blind your opinion on the fact that he is the exact player the Sabres had and still need today. He made J.P. Dumont, he made Jason Pominville, he made Ville Leino. Prove me wrong on that.
