darksabre Posted October 26, 2011 Report Posted October 26, 2011 Millbury would stand outside with a fork if it was raining soup.
shrader Posted October 26, 2011 Report Posted October 26, 2011 You said everything that needs to be said. I would have bolded "dinosaur" too, but that's just me. Millbury would stand outside with a fork if it was raining soup. You forgot to mention that he traded Chara and Luongo for that (broken) fork.
wjag Posted October 26, 2011 Report Posted October 26, 2011 Habs Perry Pearn fired after 1-5-2 start... Buh-bye Gutless to fire the assistant coach and not the head coach... Martin survives for now..
waldo Posted October 27, 2011 Report Posted October 27, 2011 Turris wants out! http://coyotes.nhl.com/club/player.htm?id=8474068
FogBat Posted October 28, 2011 Report Posted October 28, 2011 The game isn't even over yet in Philly, yet the score is Jets 8 Flyers 8. I didn't know that the All-Star game was being held this early in the season.

Andrew Amerk Posted October 28, 2011 Report Posted October 28, 2011 The Sabres have as many wins as Montreal and Boston combined. Hope I can say the same thing in March!

Taro T Posted October 28, 2011 Report Posted October 28, 2011 DeLuca will be beside himself! Yeah, but Kessel is on fire, so it's all good.

Marvelo Posted October 28, 2011 Report Posted October 28, 2011 anyone see Bryzgalov locker room meltdown after the Jets game? He says "I have zero confidence in myself right now..." etc etc. http://www.philly.com/philly/sports/132764763.html
LabattBlue Posted October 28, 2011 Report Posted October 28, 2011 anyone see Bryzgalov locker room meltdown after the Jets game? It's in the TSN highlights of the game. Here's the text. http://www.usatoday.com/sports/hockey/nhl/flyers/story/2011-10-28/flyers-bryzgalov-takes-blame/50973854/1 "I'm terrible!"
rbochan Posted October 28, 2011 Report Posted October 28, 2011 "The Albany Devils announced today that they have signed right-winger Steve Bernier to an AHL contract. The announcement was made by General Manager Chris Lamoriello. As per club policy, no further terms were disclosed..." http://www.thealbanydevils.com/albany-devils-sign-steve-bernier/

Whoever it is, I'd like to buy him a beer. ;) The really great ones have their careers end tragically - Parent, Lindbergh; their good ones flake out - Hextall, Peeters; and the rest, well, they're the rest. Hopefully Ilya continues that fine tradition.
X. Benedict Posted October 28, 2011 Report Posted October 28, 2011 anyone see Bryzgalov locker room meltdown after the Jets game? He says "I have zero confidence in myself right now..." etc etc. I've always subscrbed to the all goalies are nuts maxim.
qwksndmonster Posted October 28, 2011 Report Posted October 28, 2011 "I have zero confidence in myself right now. If you probably threw a beach ball instead of a puck, I still would not stop it. I am terrible." -Bryzgalov How am I supposed to come up with good insults for the Flyers' goalies if they themselves are taking all the good ones?!?!

Weave Posted October 28, 2011 Report Posted October 28, 2011 Did Bob go missing after the game like he did in the playoffs? I think Bob went missing *during* the game.
wjag Posted October 28, 2011 Report Posted October 28, 2011 The Sabres have as many wins as Montreal and Boston combined. Hope I can say the same thing in March! The Stanley Cup Champions are in LAST place in the Eastern Conf.. :worthy: :clapping: They are 29 out of 30th in the league only ahead of Columbus..
FogBat Posted October 28, 2011 Report Posted October 28, 2011 Did Bob go missing after the game like he did in the playoffs? It sure looks that way.
deluca67 Posted October 28, 2011 Report Posted October 28, 2011 Yeah, but Kessel is on fire, so it's all good. Don't forget Versteeg. 11 points in 9 games is a nice start. He was one of the better Flyers in the Sabres series. Kovy is off to a slow start, I expect he will pick it up.

Marvelo Posted October 29, 2011 Report Posted October 29, 2011 Just watching the World Series... the really expensive players (Pujols, Hamilton, etc.) may come up big once in awhile but don't dominate in proportion to their salary. It seems to be a thing that happens universally in different sports. Generally, it's John Q. Public that wins you championships, not the Albert Pujols types who are way overrated at crunch time, and of course way overpaid for beating up on the little guys along the way.. Sabres seem to have alot of Pujols types. (at least with hockey equivalent salaries)

But I don't think the Sabres have a lot of "Pujols types."
