LastPommerFan Posted October 4, 2011 Report Posted October 4, 2011 There are always exceptions, but I would rather talk to my dog about politics than hear what Ray Lewis or Sean Avery have to say about our national debt or the war against terrorism - my dog is at least as qualified to speak on the topic, and he will lick my hand if I scold him for saying something stupid. [bait] so the exceptions are when the politics of the athlete align with your own[/bait] ;)
korab rules Posted October 4, 2011 Report Posted October 4, 2011 [bait] so the exceptions are when the politics of the athlete align with your own[/bait] ;) No - and I never said Kemp was one of those exceptions. My conservative views aren't a secret. Most conservatives have several bones to pick with the late Mr. Kemp.

LastPommerFan Posted October 4, 2011 Report Posted October 4, 2011 Not too soon? Nice C on pommer's deer hide tunic - a recent addition? Yessir, wishful thinking/publicity Campaign. I figure most of the coaching staff reads this board for advice, I was hoping to use it as a subliminal message. I'd be ecstatic if he got the 'C'. But, despite the fact that he is my personal favorite since before the OT Shorthander in the '06 Playoffs, I'm not sure he'd be the best choice. He's on the final slate, but maybe not #1.

I think its the thick gold chain holding him back. How can his team mates take him seriously with that big hunk of porn jewelry hanging around his neck?
Eleven Posted October 4, 2011 Report Posted October 4, 2011 I agree, his ad did change my feelings about him a little. Sidenote: would the 'sh' in 'asshat' be pronounced like the 'sh' in 'ship' or the 'sh' in 'dishonor'? An excellent question with two good answers.

It's the jazz flute music that follows him around the locker room that really creeps the guys out.

That is the creepiest album cover I have ever seen. I am afraid to hit play, because I fear the first thing to happen will be the camera panning lower.

If I were a GM and needed some grit I might add Avery but then again he doesnt seem to do anything outside of NY... kinda like Cole and Carolina Leafs trade for faceoff specialist....David Steckel....Devils get a 4th rounder. http://espn.go.com/new-york/nhl/story/_/id/7060294/new-jersey-devils-deal-david-steckel-toronto-maple-leafs-2012-draft-pickNot a bad tool for Ron Wilson to have. Andrew Amerk Posted October 5, 2011 Report Posted October 5, 2011 I started a separate Avery thread. Figured he could use the ego boost right about now.
spndnchz Posted October 5, 2011 Author Report Posted October 5, 2011 Rosters need to be set by 3PM today.
LastPommerFan Posted October 5, 2011 Report Posted October 5, 2011 Does anyone know how NYR got two "away" games for the premiere games? Seems unfair that they get to play 41 games at MSG and we only get 40 at the F'N center. On the flip side, it's two home games for LA, so they'll only get 39 true home games this year.

Bit of a story there. Dolan, who owns MSG, is looking to maximize revenue in the newly refurbished MSG. They don't mind and actually asked to have the Europe games be away so that they can have the full 41 home games at MSG. Now the LA Kings company, AEG, owns both the Arena in Stockholm and the Arena in Berlin where they will be playing their home games. It's a win-win in the corporate world.
