LabattBlue Posted March 30, 2012 Report Posted March 30, 2012 Brian Duff rocks. They showed the clip of Chimera's hit on McQuaid, with Jack Edwards blabbing about how AWFUL of a hit it was, and when it ended Duff was just like, ".... Well I wonder what Jack Edwards would be saying if it was the other way around" (paraphrased). So true. That's awesome!
JJFIVEOH Posted March 30, 2012 Report Posted March 30, 2012 Man, the Sabres could actually clinch a spot at home on Tuesday against the Leafs. I'd love to see that, much more exciting! Last years game against Philly to clinch was very memorable.
X. Benedict Posted March 30, 2012 Report Posted March 30, 2012 Chimera Hit on McQuaid FWIW I don't think that's a suspension.
SwampD Posted March 30, 2012 Report Posted March 30, 2012 Chimera Hit on McQuaid FWIW I don't think that's a suspension. No way that's a suspension. I actually feel sorry for Brickley. He actually knows hockey and he's forced to work with that tool.
Punch Posted March 30, 2012 Report Posted March 30, 2012 I think it has been foot problems. The way he was hobbling that makes sense. Marchand just wiped out Wideman!
... Posted March 30, 2012 Report Posted March 30, 2012 I feel dirty rooting for Boston... Boo. Boston looks like hell for being seeded so high.
Punch Posted March 30, 2012 Report Posted March 30, 2012 I feel dirty rooting for Boston... Boo. Boston looks like hell for being seeded so high. Thomas is starting to look old and worn out. Rask's injury is really taking a toll on him. Still, the way the Bruins turned it on in the final 4 minutes reminds of the team that can beat up whomever they want.
bunomatic Posted March 30, 2012 Report Posted March 30, 2012 I have to question the Bruins toughness and sticktogetherness for having no answer to the hit on McQuaid. ;)
Taro T Posted March 30, 2012 Report Posted March 30, 2012 It is a little trickier for the Habs filling vacacies...they basically have to let everyone in the league know they are looking, because there is a more limited pool of bi-lingual candidates available. Not being a wise arse, was Sam Pollock bilingual?
LabattBlue Posted March 30, 2012 Report Posted March 30, 2012 I can't figure out San Jose at all. They are just up and down. They win 3 in a row at home after everyone was putting the final nail in their coffin, then they go on the road and score 1 goal in two games in losses to Anaheim and Phoenix. They have way too much talent to be missing the playoffs. Look for some major moves in the offseason if they end up on the outside looking in.

On a side note i went to a game in San Jose last season. That was a great crowd and a fun place to watch a game. The building though felt very "dated" and barren compared to newer arenas. I was surprised a tech rich area like that doesn't have an arena with all the good amenities.
shrader Posted March 30, 2012 Report Posted March 30, 2012 So Toronto has quit, right? Has anyone watched them recently because I'm under the impression that they're just standing still out there.

Quit, Suck for Nail (or whomever the top player in teh draft will be), trying to get a jump on the golf season, or just being the Leafs, whatever you want to call it they are done. The Chants have started for "Fire Burke", and even last night they chanted "Lets go Blue Jays"

It figures the Laffs will find a way to "get up" for the Sabres.

TrueBlueGED Posted April 2, 2012 Report Posted April 2, 2012 Watching the Rangers and Bruins tonight, I'm still left amazingly unimpressed by the Rangers considering they've held the top spot in the conference for most of the season.

The hard part of missing the playoffs this year is that I really think the East is wide open once the post-season starts.
Bmwolf21 Posted April 2, 2012 Report Posted April 2, 2012 End of game brawl between Philly and Pitt. Love seeing Laviolette upset. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mgKCdGnVJxM&hd=1
Eleven Posted April 2, 2012 Report Posted April 2, 2012 End of game brawl between Philly and Pitt. Love seeing Laviolette upset. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mgKCdGnVJxM&hd=1 There was a lot in the third leading up to that one, too. If these two face off in the first round, it is going to be entertaining. I'm thinking Colorado-Detroit, late '90s style, entertaining. Well, until the league steps in to protect The Broken One, that is.

bcsaberks Posted April 2, 2012 Report Posted April 2, 2012 End of game brawl between Philly and Pitt. Love seeing Laviolette upset. I saw the first and second periods only, this game was a beauty. Crosby is nails, and his slashing on Giroux, wth was that no-call!? Hartnell is hard not to like, if as a Sabres fan you can see past the sweater he wears.
