korab rules Posted March 19, 2012 Report Posted March 19, 2012 Aren't all Canadians gay? no - just the french canadian ones. Those Western Canadian boys are straight as arrows.

FogBat Posted March 19, 2012 Report Posted March 19, 2012 Lol As a Westerner I have to agree! Too funny. Just look at Hugh Rowland of Ice Road Truckers. That dude's got some serious cavalier bravado (aside from his manliness). Ignoring the WBC hate rant for a second, why exactly do they get to go out on the ice for that? If you are equating me with the Westboro Baptist Church, you are so sadly mistaken. But, then again, tolerance has become nothing more than an oxymoron these days.
deluca67 Posted March 20, 2012 Report Posted March 20, 2012 Bruins look poised to put a 10 spot on the Leafs. Ovi with a pair to lead the Caps to the early 3-0 lead.
X. Benedict Posted March 20, 2012 Report Posted March 20, 2012 Line fight to start things in NEW YORK.

wonderbread Posted March 20, 2012 Report Posted March 20, 2012 Awesome display of imposing one will upon another. If that would have happened with the Sabres we would be talking about it for ten years.
Ghost of Dwight Drane Posted March 20, 2012 Report Posted March 20, 2012 Line fight to start things in NEW YORK. Barbaric. The league needs to get this out of here. Nobody wants to see this. I appreciate scoring and skill....and good, old fashioned perimeter scoring at that.

SwampD Posted March 20, 2012 Report Posted March 20, 2012 Barbaric. The league needs to get this out of here. Nobody wants to see this. I appreciate scoring and skill....and good, old fashioned perimeter scoring at that. It might not be barbaric, but imo it's pretty effin stupid. How could the Rags not get an instigator on that. They put a guy on the ice who had never taken a faceoff before, ever, to open the game for the sole purpose of fighting. I've got no problem with fighting or line brawls (well, maybe I do a little), but that's just stupid. The Rangers won because they are better, not because they sent a bunch of monkeys on the ice to fling some poo.
Sabre Dance Posted March 20, 2012 Report Posted March 20, 2012 Nobody?? I would disagree. Maybe so, but this was a stupid display - three "staged" fights all at the same time? I think I heard an ambulance circling MSG with the siren on. If a fight comes about as retribution for a nasty hit, or some such, no problem. But all six guys pairing off at the same time? It smacks of theatrics to me. This kind of stuff is perfect fodder for those who want to eliminate fighting from the game - I say, don't give that to them.

Torts either responds or sends his skill guys out to get pummeled.

They are not a team willing to back down.

deluca67 Posted March 20, 2012 Report Posted March 20, 2012 Bruins decided to show that they have class and sportsmanship, so they decided not to run up the score and just win the game 8-0 They really took the foot of the pedal over that final 1:31.
Taro T Posted March 20, 2012 Report Posted March 20, 2012 Bruins decided to show that they have class and sportsmanship, so they decided not to run up the score and just win the game 8-0 Didn't watch the game, but I heard reports that the mics on the guys between benches were picking up noises that sounded something like 'truck (?) Sittler' from the Baaahston bench. ;)
apuszczalowski Posted March 20, 2012 Report Posted March 20, 2012 They really took the foot of the pedal over that final 1:31. That was Boston Class I enjoyed watching the game (well the first period, after that my girlfriend refused to watch anymore and turned it off), never heard so much cursing coming out of my girlfriends mouth while watching the Leafs attempt to play hockey. The league should have really stepped in and replaced the Bruins with a kids hockey team or something in that game to make it fair, or atleast make the Bruins play backwards, or make Tim Thomas play forward and put Chara in net. Boston would have still won the game, but atleast it gives the Leafs a chance

apuszczalowski Posted March 20, 2012 Report Posted March 20, 2012 They kept showing a graphic during the game of the worst losses this season by the Leafs, and 3 of the 5 were against Boston, I think one was a 6 or 7-0 loss. When they have played bad, they have been BAD in teh last few games i have seen, Schenn has looked horrible, and he was supposed to be one of their best prospect

When they have played bad, they have been BAD Boston is 6-0 against the leafs outscoring them 36-10. I'm no Bruins fan, but few things make me happier than the leafs getting embarrassed.

Torts either responds or sends his skill guys out to get pummeled. i saw an article -- on puck daddy, i think -- indicating that torts was furious when he received notice of the devils' starting lineup. in fact, i inferred (or it was expressly stated) that torts was still in the rangers locker room when he got word of who deboer (i didn't know who was coaching the devils until just now) was starting. anywyay, the reason i started to reply was to say that your insight prompts me to reflect on what happened when murray sent the spezza line out after neil clipped drury.

I was thinking about that one too. Was that one at home or the road? The thought of Sylvester sending that line out onto the ice AFTER Buffalo put their guys out there would drive me mad.
