Well, I'm no fan of TSN, but he was this afternoon. The way I read it the headline was referring to Malkin, which is accurate if one really understands the English language.

I think you're overthinking this one. Read it really quickly; it looks like two words, not three. Zeke got it.

Only if you have that one thing on your mind ... you guys must be envious, or something.

I bet even Chz didn't think that is what the headline said.

I bet you're wrong.

Upon reflection you are very likely right about Chz.

But I am sure our other resident female posters (I only know of two ... biodork and Ohiofan) wouldn't think that way. Now, Inky on the other hand ... he doesn't hide his man-crush on a certain NY Ranger, now does he.

C'mon, I bet plenty of people saw that first glance. Being a teenager, it got a chuckle out of me :D

I would expect nothing less from a teenager with their hormones ragging all over the place ... :P .

Ok, maybe I'm stupid, but regardless of the fact that it looks like the word PENIS at quick glance, the phrase "Pen (short for Penguin) Is Mightier" is borderline grammatically incorrect. I guess it makes sense, but wouldn't "Penguins Are Mighter" or "Malkin is Mightier" make a whole lot more sense anyway? It was a stupid headline regardless of the PP joke.

Panthers vs. Canes tonight, a couple of penalties at 2:55 of OT so they got to play the last two minutes 3 on 3. Can't say I've ever seen that before, was pretty fun to watch!

Oh Man, Johnny Boychuk got DESTROYED by Chris Neil tonight.

Do you have a link to that. I've been waiting to see him get beat down since he wacked Vaneks ankle. Was it a hit or a beat down?

Not a good quality, and I am a complete novice at this, but I'll try. Boychuk had his head down near the boards and Neil came in with the shoulder and Campbelled him...

Did anybody catch that crazy Malkin unassisted goal from the Tampa Bay game last night? Granted Crosby is out ... but I don't understand how one team ends up with the two best skill players in the NHL. Just mind-boggling.

The best part about that hit was they both got hurt. Although it almost looked like Neil saw that he had hurt Boychuk so he stayed down a while to avoid retribution. You gotta know that in todays N.H.L. good hit or bad someones coming for you. I thought it looked clean.

Yeah, Chara came right over so the guy just stayed down to avoid having to fight him, IMO

The fun police, they live inside of my head.

Neil is a notorious spot picker. He won't fight Chara (or Thornton) unless he has no choice. Of course he stayed down. It wasn't until later in the game and Chara lined up against Neil and gave him no choice that Neil decided to step up.

Neil and Chara went in that game. Edge to Chara but Neil handled himself well including not throwing an extra shot at the end when Chara was defenseless.

Right. But like I said, Neil wouldn't go until Chara lined up across from Neil on a faceoff and gave him no choice. Neil does not wade into fights with real badasses willingly. Never has.

It's ridiculous that Neil even has to think about doing that after throwing a beautiful clean hit like that.

I agree. There is another thread on why there has to be a fight after a clean hit. Take the hit and get up and play. Apparently no one can take a hit anymore.
