Eleven Posted February 20, 2012 Report Posted February 20, 2012 According to HockeyDB.com Kassian is listed at 6'4" and 232. Thornton is listed at 6' 1" 202. They look to me like they are both bigger than listed there but in the same proportion. Like I said, I need to take another look at other-Kassian (I just have not seen that much of him). But other-Thornton seems bigger than that.
TrueBlueGED Posted February 20, 2012 Report Posted February 20, 2012 Not sure if anybody is watching the Rangers game, but I just got an epic earfull from my Ranger friend. Apparently at the end of the second period the Rangers appeared to score with .1 seconds left, but the goal was reviewed and waived off because the official scorer's clock was at 0, while the arena/TV clock was at .1. And Columbus just pulled the goalie to tie it 2-2 at the end of the third. If this happened in any kind of a meaningful game, I can't imagine the backlash. I completely understand having the scorer's time be official in case the scoreboard malfunctions or whatever. But how in the world are they not synced? Isn't that like 1980s technology? It's this kind of stupid system that opens the NHL up to so much criticism that seemingly could be easily avoided.

LA Kings if I remember correctly.

thesportsbuff Posted February 20, 2012 Report Posted February 20, 2012 Now if that isn't proof that the hockey gods are real...
CallawaySabres Posted February 20, 2012 Report Posted February 20, 2012 If Winnipeg takes the division and Florida drops out, it is going to be a great top 8 in the East playoffs. Hopefully Ottawa, Toronto and the Peg hold on to make the arena atmospheres electric. I think we are in store for an AWESOME 2012 playoffs and the West is going to be sick with Detroit, Van, Chicago and St Louis. I hope Calgary clings on to add another electric Canadian arena.
nobody Posted February 20, 2012 Report Posted February 20, 2012 Now if that isn't proof that the hockey gods are real... You know the NHL is happy that they were able to give the BJs a little bit of amends with this call to make up for that LA goal.
spndnchz Posted February 20, 2012 Author Report Posted February 20, 2012 Islanders losing to the Sens 4-0 in the third. Isles lose and Sabres win tomorrow, the Sabres go from 14th to 11th and 5 points out.

Isles lose and Sabres win tomorrow, the Sabres go from 14th to 11th and 5 points out. Toronto plays tomorrow as well, they would also need to lose. As well as Washington losing tonight (@ Carolina). Winne is plays tomorrow too, but they've played a couple more games. But I'm with you, things work out right this week, and we might not be sellers Monday.

nobody Posted February 20, 2012 Report Posted February 20, 2012 If this does not say the Sabres are sellers, I don't know what does. Look at the cap space some of the top teams have! http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=388341 What it says to me is that most of the top teams that already are probably most likely to win the Cup have a ton of money to spend to help them get even better while the Sabres are fighting not to finish near last in the league and have no money to spend.
LastPommerFan Posted February 20, 2012 Report Posted February 20, 2012 Worst. Case. Scenario. incorrect. http://www.nytimes.com/2011/09/08/world/europe/08russia.html
Weave Posted February 21, 2012 Report Posted February 21, 2012 incorrect. http://www.nytimes.c...e/08russia.html That would really jumpstart the rebuild so........... What? Too soon?
LastPommerFan Posted February 21, 2012 Report Posted February 21, 2012 What? Too soon? At least wait until after Putin confiscates all the passports of all the NHL Players in Sochi in 2014.
Lanny Posted February 21, 2012 Report Posted February 21, 2012 Isalders losing to the Sens 4-0 in the third. Isles lose and Sabres win tomorrow, the Sabres go from 14th to 11th and 5 points out. Washingtons down 2-0, go canes, I think
Eleven Posted February 21, 2012 Report Posted February 21, 2012 DC getting crushed is not a bad thing. (bbbbut they changed coaches!) No, seriously, not a bad thing. I'd rather Carolina gain ground than DC.
JJFIVEOH Posted February 21, 2012 Report Posted February 21, 2012 So my posts get moved while the responses stay here? I'm tired of searching for my own posts not to mention going to different threads to see the responses to it. I'll respond as soon as they're done playing musical threads.
korab rules Posted February 21, 2012 Report Posted February 21, 2012 First of all, if we offloaded Miller, Roy and Stafford without taking any money back I'd absolutely crap myself. Then I'd eat it. No way that happens. Now I am rooting for this to happen.

Is it that ###### hard to keep track? There's a buy or sell thread There's a Lindy sucks thread There's a trade rumor thread There's a trade done thread There's a misc. NHL thread. There's an eating, drinking, boob thread. Any questions? Waiver from the thread expect it to be moved.
TrueBlueGED Posted February 21, 2012 Report Posted February 21, 2012 Now I am rooting for this to happen. I should probably add an asterisk *as soon as Golisano eats his microphone :P In other news, the Capitals are absolutely awful. I wonder if McPhee finally realizes it's time to shake up his roster. With how ornery most Sabres fans are, I can only imagine how Caps fans must feel right now.
spndnchz Posted February 21, 2012 Author Report Posted February 21, 2012 ha ha. Busting Sylvester's chops on twitter can be fun.
