to look at Inkman's calves in the header next season. :nana:

The survey:

List the TOP five Sabres-related things you do regularly on the internet. If you can't think of five, then leave the list short. If you do MORE than five regularly and they are "must-do's" then go above five. For instance, here are mine in order:

(snip)

obviously, there's a difference between off-season and regular/post-season:

off-season:

  1. check here for community goings-on
  2. check twitter randomly for sabres-related tweets
  3. read up on draft picks and trade/free agency acquisitions

regular season:

  1. listen to WGR online if stuck at work past game start time
  2. check conference standings
  3. watch highlight replays on nhl/sabres website
  4. check in here and see what y'all have to say about whatever
  5. tweet with tweeps during games

there's probably more, but this will do.

1.) Read the RSS feeds I have on the Sabres

2.) Check out Standings & Upcoming Games

3.) Read this forum for news and discussion

4.) Look for general NHL news

5.) Read Spector's for latest rumors

* I go to WGR550 for their headlines -- the summations that they write are front and center, and usually to the point.

* Then I go to sabrespace and read all of the headlines, and read most of the articles.

* I will browse the current chat topics to see if there is anything exciting.

* I then go to hockeybuzz to browse Garth and get a quick overview of other teams via the bloggers' headlines.

* As a side note here -- I love WGR because I love Paul Hamilton's insider views, and I think Garth offers great behind the scenes. I do not respect or like the Buffalo News writers, and I hate Sully, so I seldom read any of their stuff. If SabreSpace had a daily insider, I would recommend highlighting it and making it a very apparent feature of the site. I would be all over that!

* I usually have a pretty good grasp on the standings and statistical leaders, but I will check NHL.com periodically.

What I pretty much do daily, in procedural order:

Always:

1) Check sabresreport.com (I use the old URL) for headlines. Open up interesting stories in new tabs, read them. Reading emphasis, in decreasing order: TBN, TSN, WGR, AP, ESPN, WECK/Blogs, Rochester/Portland news, out of town news.

2) Scan the most recent forum thread titles in the right sidebar of sabresreport.com to determine if I want to go look at forums. Maybe go engage in forum discussion or follow up on previous posts.

3) Check TSN.ca/nhl for any league wide news or Sabres news not yet posted on sabresreport.com.

Sometimes, usually following bigger news like player transactions/drafts/playoff games:

4) Check sabres.com for press conferences, interviews, etc.

5) Listen to WGR internet stream.

6) Go read hfboards. Usually Sabres-only stuff, unless there's a trade, then I read the other team's threads.

If I get really bored or expect breaking news (like July 1):

7) Go find rumors.

I'd say mine are pretty much the same as SDS and PTR:

1. read headlines on SabreSpace front page

2. click on interesting stories and read on whatever site they came from (GR, NHL.com, etc) -- sometimes once on the other sites I browse around there for news.

3. scan top few Aud Club threads from SabreSpace front page and read/post on ones of interest

4. check date/time/opponent of the next game (from pre-season on)

5. check conference standings (probably from about 2 months into the season on)

If there was a good fight and/or hit I'll check YouTube or NHL.com for videos.

Posted

1. Watch for the latest news (sabrespace.com, ESPN iPhone app, tsn.com)

3. Check the standings and schedule (espn.com and sabres.com respectively)

4. Shop for Sabres gear (sabres.com, amazon.com, eBay)

that is about 95% of my Sabres related activities. What are yours???

That's pretty much it for me. Less often for #4 and #5. The only thing to add is the last couple weeks I have a Twitter client on my phone, where I follow Darren Dreger and spndnchz (she's a great Sabres filter for Twitter).

1. Check Sabrespace for new threads

2. SabreSpace front page for latest Sabres news

3. Resources for links TSN, sportsline, nhl.com. These are usually preloaded tabs, though.

4. sabreprospects, nhlnumbers, puckdaddy, etc These are not preloaded tabs.

For me it's

1. Sabrespace to read the articles

2. The Aud Club to read what people are saying and to infrequently comment.

3. Hockeyfights.com to see some fights.

A see a lot of "listen to WGR responses".

Just to be clear, because I wanted internet related activities - all you people who listed that are streaming right? I really can't influence your car listening habits. :)
