SDS Posted July 9, 2011 Report Posted July 9, 2011 to look at Inkman's calves in the header next season. :nana: The survey: List the TOP five Sabres-related things you do regularly on the internet. If you can't think of five, then leave the list short. If you do MORE than five regularly and they are "must-do's" then go above five. For instance, here are mine in order: 1. Scan forum for breaking news 2. Read fan reaction to news 3. Read headlines and blurbs from SabreSpace front page 4. Check date/time/opponent of the next game 5. Look at conference standings that is about 95% of my Sabres related activities. What are yours???

I really enjoyed (it actually may have been the old letsgosabres website) monthly downloadable calendars. It would have some sort of sabres background and a calendar having each Sabres game on the date, the time and opponent. I would regularily start the month by downloading it and adding it as my background. Might be to difficult to do but Pegula has made me a believer that those in power will listen to the little guy.

dudacek Posted July 9, 2011 Report Posted July 9, 2011 1) Look for breaking Sabres news headlines 2) Look for Sabre-related feature articles 3) Read fan reaction to Sabre news/opinions on the team 4) Post my own thoughts Although my first post was about a month ago I've been reading Sabrespace/Sabresreport for as long as I can remember — maybe 10 years or so? It is the best place out there for Sabres conversation. I also enjoy the hockeysfuture sabres board to read fan reaction, Kris Baker's site for the best info on our prospects and TSN.ca for Mackenzie, Dreger and big-picture NHL news and occasionally thehockeynews.com for similar big picture league insight.

Bullwinkle Posted July 9, 2011 Report Posted July 9, 2011 Looking up Sabre news is incorporated in researching my fantasy team and the players in the NHL every day. I have over 10 sites I check but these are my favorites. 1. (in season) checkout my fantasy team in Yahoo Sports (my homepage) plus look for current articles 2. Check Spector for rumors/news 3. Check Dobber hockey - fantasy tips plus good articles 4. Buffalo News 5. TSN (McKenzie) 6. GR55 website + listen to Bulldog (Shoop is arrogant) whenever I'm driving 7. just discovered Twitter in time for the free agency period
Two or less Posted July 9, 2011 Report Posted July 9, 2011 1. Sabrespace forums for latest posts/topics/discussions. 2. Twitter - i follow all the hockey/sabres people, so when im on-line, i have this up after i visit this forum. I also get twitter on my droid. 3. Visit other forums but only to read topics for maybe something that our posters missed (hfboards, sabresfans) 4. I read all the columns, i have all big writers booked mark in tab above... TBN, Sabres Edge, WGR Sabres link, Garth, Dave Davis, and also national reporters LeBrun, Cotsonika, Brophy, Spector, Mckenzie, Dreger report, Allen, Kennedy, Campbell, Duhatschek, Shoalts, nhl.com, so i read their latest columns to read about nhl and possibility find something Sabres. They dont all have daily columns, so it's easy to go down the line. 5. Fan blogs.... Die by the Blade, Blue Black and Gold are two of my fav Sabres. Also Puck Daddy for NHL. 6. Usually on a Monday, i'll check out Sabresprospects.com and read all the articles from the past week/weekend to see how our Sabres kids did. 7. I also listen to wgr way more then i should. ps. since we're being honest here, i don't visit front page of this website anymore for news. I just find that we don't usually have all the articles up or even many. Not even all the AP stories by John Wowrow. We used to have Bill Hoppe print all his stuff on front page which was awesome because now he emails me his articles, but its all basic news stuff there besides the rare Niagara Gazette stuff which i like. I wish there was a way to find more articles on the net and have them posted. Idk if its a service thing or if people volunteer to do it? Second, i wish we had bloggers on our front page with original content and not only re-posting stories. Back during the Carolina ECF series, i remember our feed was the best, stories for Philly, Ott, Carolina from their media was posted, articles from all over on the Sabres. Back then i used to visit the front page daily and i know people who never posted did also.
